Group Work Practice On Improving The Ability Of Deaf-mute To Participate In Community Cultural Activities

As a special group of the disabled,the deaf-mutes have been paid more and more attention to social life,rehabilitation,education,culture and so on.In the report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed the need to strengthen the social security system,develop undertakings for the disabled and strengthen rehabilitation services for disabled people.It can be seen that the state pays great attention to the protection and service of the disabled.Compared with normal people,there are still many deaf-mutes who are reluctant to go out of their homes and seldom contact with the outside world.It results self-isolation and insufficient ability to participate in community's ability.This paper provided services to some deaf mute groups through group practice and promote their changes.Based on the practice process of the social work service project for the deaf-mutes by T institution,this paper made intervention and research.The project was carried out the development of the group of practice activities.Social workers helped12 residual friends with the service needs to get out of the families,out of the self enclosed space,contact with their peers,others,and community,form a good interaction and gradually realize the ability to participate in community cultural life.This paper analyzes the problems of deafmutes in the social life and summarizes the evaluation of the intervention strategies and service activities.On this basis,the paper carries on the reflection and discussion,So as to deepen to the social work of the understanding,enhance the actual work ability.
