Deaf and dumb crime has become increasingly rampant, the high incidence of harm to society is increasingly serious, crime prevention in this population has become essential and great urgency.This paper describes a typical situation of the deaf-mute gang theft and through its comprehensive analysis and dissecting of the focus of controversy and legal characteristics brings out the enlightenment and countermeasures. Want to be able to provide some useful reference to the crime of punishment and prevention of deaf-mute.This paper is divided into four sections.The first sections introduces the circumstance of the case and raises the contentious issue of the article, namely the identification, criminal responsibility and deaf-mute sign language interpreters related issues in the course of proceeding of deaf-mute criminal case.The second section is analysis on the contentious issues. That is the disputed issues of the relevant legal analysis on forensic deaf-mute suspects which lack legal basis. Deaf-mute criminal responsibility for crimes on the commitment which is reality of moderation the severity and extensity in our country and the hire and qualification of deaf-mute sign language interpreters which should be further standardized.The third section minutely dissects on a series of legal characteristics of the case and such cases, such as groups, occupational, theft and controlling to use young deaf-mute.The fourth section elaborates inspiration and countermeasures from this case. Those are more care should be given deaf-mutes from society, schools and families and strengthening legislation and combining punishment with leniency.The legal issues triggered by the deaf-mute theft extensively and profoundly affect on the relevant legal system of deaf-mute to improve and raise the level of the judiciary in our country, the measures adopted to punish and prevent the occurrence of deaf-mute crime have become a very important issue.
