The Study Of Current Northern Myanmar Conflict And China-Myanmar Boundary Control

The focus of the geopolitical game of big countries has gradually shifted to the Asia-Pacific region,and Myanmar has become the intersection of the geopolitical strategies of big countries because of its special geographical location.Myanmar has great strategic significance for China,not only for China's land passage to the Indian Ocean,but also for the “One Belt,One Road” initiative and the Sino-Myanmar “herringbone” economic corridor,which is constantly advancing in Myanmar.At the same time,China and Myanmar Large-scale projects such as expressways,China-Myanmar railways and China-Myanmar oil and gas pipelines need to pass through the northern part of Myanmar.The turbulent situation in North Burma has become a major factor hindering the smooth progress of these projects.With the evolution of the international geopolitical structure,the extraterritorial powers have intervened in the situation in northern Myanmar.The domestic situation in Myanmar is more complicated and difficult to control,which in turn has intensified the escalation of the conflict in North Korea.At present,there has been a major reversal of the conflict in North Myanmar.From February 2015,the Burmese government forces took the initiative to attack the various armed groups in northern Myanmar and turned into the current stage of the "Myanmar North Army" to actively attack the government forces."One-on-one" is transformed into "one-on-two" and "one-to-many".Many local armed groups in northern Myanmar have reached peace talks with the Myanmar government and signed a ceasefire agreement.There are still dozens of minority local armed organizations that choose to talk and protect their rights and interests.The article mainly uses field research method,event analysis method,literature data method and other methods to analyze the causes of the conflict in northern Myanmar,and further proposes that the conflict in northern Myanmar brings new challenges to Sino-Myanmar bilateral relations,cross-border trade,border security and border control.Finally,Proposed boundary control measures are proposed to provide reference for border management in national and border local governments.The article concludes that the conflict in northern Myanmar will not have a greater security impact on the border between China and Burma.As the conflict intensifies,issues such as drugs,smuggling,cross-border crimes,and terrorist attacks will be potential factors affecting the security of the China-Myanmar border.How to do well in border control,prevent major security incidents in border areas,and safeguard the security and territorial integrity of China's southwestern border are the research focus of the article.
