Research On The Evolution Path Of IC Patent Technology Based On ZTE Incident

ZTE was banned by the us Commerce Department during a trade war between China and the us in 2018.By cutting off the supply of its chips and other core components,ZTE fell into a state of "shock".The occurrence of this event also triggered people's worries about the control of China's industrial development.What are the weak links in China's relevant industries and how to promote relevant technologies are worthy to study.Patent is the most extensive and profound reflection of technical information,and it also contains rich text information such as patent classification number and citation.On the basis of a comprehensive review of the ZTE prohibition,the study extracted the patent data of ZTE's major partners in the us communication industry chain from the DWI patent database,to construct the international patent classification number co-occurrence network.By using the method of network co-occurrence analysis and case analysis,this paper takes ZTE as a case to explore the weak links in the development of China's communication industry.Through analysis,we know that integrated circuit technology is the “short board” of the development of China's communication industry.In order to promote the development of integrated circuit technology,it is necessary to clarify the main evolution of technology development and point out the direction for the industrial technology research and development.The co-occurrence relationship between major and minor patent classification Numbers can reflect the evolution of technology in different periods in a specific field.Then the study constructs the patent DWI manual code classification number co-occurrence network and use network out-degree,in-degree and intermediate centrality to reflect the evolution of IC technology from 1970 to 2018.Although China has made great progress in building the new generation of communication industry,its communication industry chain is still incomplete.Chip and other integrated circuit technologies have relied on the upstream of the industrial chain for a long time.China should focus on the development of integrated circuit design and manufacturing technology,focus on the industrial core,seize the technical high point,and build a complete and efficient industrial chain...
