With respect to the pervasive use of Internet technology,the forms of traditional economic and trade have undergone profound changes.Digitization has become a new trend in the world economy and international trade in the new era.The trend has led to the formation of new trade model which is digital trade.Due to the relatively short generation time of digital trade,digital trade in most countries in the world is still in the early stages of development.As the world's largest economy,the United States not only has a huge total trade volume but also has advanced technology,which has made the United States' rapid digital development and is now in a leading position in the world.At the same time,the United States has set out its own digital trade rules through multilateral or bilateral free trade agreements with other countries,which seeks to lead and influence the development of digital trade around the world.Hence,it is recognized that the studying of U.S.digital trade rules has a profound reference for the development of China's digital trade.In regarding to this new form of trade,the definition of digital trade has not yet been unified.The Chapter ? of this article focus on explaining the U.S.digital trade rules,this includes studying and discussing the definition and characteristics of digital trade,further analyzing of the background and history of the U.S.digital trade rules.Chapter ? of this article studies the main content of the US digital trade rules.These include duty-free digital products,free cross-border flow of data,and elimination of local requirements.Chapter ? of the article elaborates the both positive and negative effects of the U.S.digital trade rules on global scale.Then,it analyses the differences in the positions of digital trade rules between China and the U.S.And it discussed the frequent digital trade frictions occurred between China and U.S.due to the influence of U.S.digital trade rules.Chapter ? suggested that for the purpose of mitigating such pressure,China should commence its development of digital trade infrastructure,utilize the "Belt and Road"proposal to build up its own digital trade rule system,undertake law reform regarding to relevant laws and regulations,and should actively participate in the negotiation of trade rules in worldwide basis to seize development opportunities,and to promote the rapid development of digital trade in China.
