Comment On The Theoretical Quality Of Marxism From The Seven Prefaces Of The Communist Manifesto

The Communist Manifesto(hereinafter referred to as the Manifesto)was published in 1848.As a classic work of Marxism,once the Declaration was published,it caused a sensation.Twenty-five years after its birth,Marx and Engels decided to start writing the seven prefaces for it.These prefaces not only adhere to the Manifesto,but also supplement it,innovate with the changes of the times,and develop and improve Marxism.Why is it that after 170 years,instead of being outdated,nowadays Marxism is constantly supplemented and enriched,with extremely strong vitality,still guiding the great human practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics and adapting to the needs of each era?This is because Marxism has the theoretical quality of keeping pace with the times.By studying the background,content and influence of the seven prefaces of the Manifesto,this paper analyses the relationship between the prefaces and the main text,displays the ideas contained in the prefaces,indicates the task and purpose of the prefaces writing,and demonstrates that keeping pace with the times is the theoretical quality of Marxism,which has been most profoundly reflected in the prefaces.This paper further studies the keeping pace with the times,proposes that it scientifically contains three connotations:insistence,application and development,and analyses their internal dialectical and unified logical relationship,tries to excavate the intrinsic motive force of Marxist theoretical innovation,and illustrates its contemporary value,which is the innovation of this paper.
