The family is the cell of the society,it is the first school in which all social members enter the society,and it undertakes the great responsibility of cultivating the new forces of the society.No matter how the times change,the role of family style on people's education will never change.The culture of family tradition has left a great deal of color in the development of the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation.It has an important guiding significance for the construction of socialist culture in the new era,and has experienced the forming process of rooting,sprouting,developing and completing.The culture of family tradition contains a wealth of resources.It includes patriotism,abiding by the law,and honesty,etc.Socialist core values is the common value pursuit of the people of all ethnic groups throughout the country and it is an important part of Xi Jinping's socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era,which condenses the requirements on the national,social,and personal levels.And it also has a leading role in the development of the current society.Due to the fact that the family tradition has not conformed to historical development in the process of inheritance,we need to face and analyze it objectively with the guide of socialist core values,and put forward corresponding solutions.Socialist core values and good family tradition are rooted in the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation and share a common cultural origin.Therefore,using socialist core values to lead the construction of family tradition is the most convenient and effective way.At the same time,it can also deepen the the public's cognition of socialist core values,so that the people can practice socialist core values better.Thus,it can produce “a whole greater than the sum of the parts”.This paper mainly discusses from the following four aspects.First of all,we will definite the concept of family tradition.On the basis of expounding the characteristics of exemplary,time,inheritable and multifarious of family tradition in detail,this thesis analyzes the relationship between excellent family tradition and socialist core values.Secondly,it clarifies the positive effect of excellent family tradition on the development of the new era,including promoting the formation of good individual moral character,building a harmonious family,creating a good social environment and fostering a healthy political atmosphere.Thirdly,it analyzes the predicament of constructing the current family tradition,such as the content of constructing family tradition needs to be improved,school-family-society failed to form a synergy,the value-oriented role of the media has failed to play a very good role,and so on.Based on it,the main reasons for the existence of the predicament in the construction of family tradition are analyzed,including the weak consciousness of inheriting family tradition,the change of the modern family structure,the dross in the content of traditional family tradition and the influence of the multi-values.Finally,this thesis puts forward the path of constructing family tradition,which is guided by the socialist core values,mainly includes improvement of the content of contemporary family tradition,the formation of a linkage mechanism of family-school-society,and giving full play to the role of new media in the value orientation.
