With the development of science and technology,the traditional way of writing is facing unprecedented challenges.People are more and more accustomed to using mobile phones,computers and printers as writing tools.In recent years,people have started to use computers and printers to make wills.However,the current law of China does not specify the printed wills,so it is inevitable that there are different results in judicial practice.This paper firstly expounds the conceptual characteristics of the printed wills,and through the comparison with the holographic wills,the allograph wills,the electronic wills,expounds the difference between them,for a better understanding of the printed wills.Secondly,this paper studies extraterritorial laws from the perspective of comparative law research,and has a deep understanding of the legal provisions and judicial practices of the civil law system and common law system on the printed wills,so as to draw from the favorable experience.Thirdly,this paper analyzes the theory of printed will from the legislative process and judicial cases,analyzes the reasons for different trial results,and better understands the current situation of printed wills in China.Finally,this paper analyzes the legislative purpose of incorporating the printed wills into the succession in the process of civil code compilation,and puts forward suggestions to improve the legislation in view of the possible legal effects in the future application of law,in order to form a relatively unified judgment standard.
