The development of network technology and the popularity of social media have promoted the spread and development of feminism in China,and also accelerated the birth of network new words related to feminism."Tianyuan Feminism",which has a distinctly derogatory meaning,is a term that has been used frequently on the Internet in recent years.This study's in-depth analysis of the discussions surrounding "Tianyuan Feminism" will help us to understand the uniqueness and dilemma of women's rights movement in China,so as to truly promote the development of equal rights movement.Based on the user analysis and subject analysis of the 4440 questions about"Tianyuan Feminism" on Chinese Q&A platform——Zhihu,this paper finds that the users who participate in the questions about "Tianyuan Feminism" on Zhihu are mainly male,live in economically developed areas,generally have a good educational background,and are mainly employed in high-tech industry.Users who answered several times were generally alienated,but their small-world effect was significant.The ten core users have a high degree of activity,and they all pay close attention to feminist topics.Some even set up accounts specially for answering relevant questions,which all hold an"anti-feminist" position,and there is a phenomenon of solidarity.The topics discussed by these users for "Tianyuan Feminism" revolted around several topics with "Chinese characteristics",including betrothal gifts,childbirth,family responsibilities,work and the body.These discussions show relatively consistent opposition and antipathy to the betrothal gifts.Fertility is regarded as a bargaining chip for women to coerce men into gaining more rights and interests.It is a traditional rule that women assume housework,and women's rejection of housework is to ignore traditional family roles,which is a selfish and irresponsible behavior.They rationalize discrimination against women in the workplace,believing that women have natural disadvantages in the workplace.They evaluate and demean the appearance of feminists,and assume that the level of female beauty represents the value of women in the marriage market.To explore the origin of the issues in the Zhihu on "Tianyuan Feminism",we need to examine the concept behind the discourse.The creation and popularity of "Tianyuan Feminism" is the negative evaluation and stigmatization of feminists on the Internet the perspective of male.It also explains the prevalence of misogyny in the current society.The misogyny of male users is manifested in the evaluation and arbitrary objectification of the female personal gender characteristics of "Tianyuan Feminism",while the misogyny of female users is manifested in the tolerance and silence of male detraction.The misogyny that permeates the question about "Tianyuan Feminism" on Zhihu is essentially a reflection of patriarchal concepts in cyberspace.However,Chinese patriarchy also encountered multiple challenges in women's resistance and awakening.
