A Comparative Analysis Of Chinese Outward Direct Investment In Mexico

The high rate of economic growth in China has led Chinese investors to acquire stakes in the energy and manufacturing sectors in Mexico,especially oil investors and the auto industry.Chinese companies and government procurement agreements expand,diversify,this global supplier system has fueled the Mexican economy.This file has explored the amounts of Chinese COFDI in Mexico.However,Chinese investment in Mexican territory is almost nil compared to investments in South America.Mexico has received smaller amounts of investment inflows,as well as several drawbacks in recent projects.The research carried out in this thesis is to show the advantages and disadvantages of an analysis of these two sectors that are extremely important to the Mexican economy.For a more complete analysis,I carry out a structured comparison,with examples of Chinese companies in Mexico,as well I will show a study of bilateral agreements with China and diplomatic relations and what has happened with all the agreements established in previous years and their impact according to investments.I also took on the task of analyzing one of the most important factors for the Mexican economy,which is the free trade agreement with our northern neighbors.This makes our relationship with the United States tight,that USA could be so close that Chinese investments are indirectly affected in the treaty and investments with Mexico for this reason I assumed the task of analyzing the triangular relations that these three countries entail.These are the motivations of this thesis;however,it is estimated that the Sino-Mexico relations will collaborate in the coming years.
