Xi Jinping's Inheritance And Development Of Mao Zedong's "Two Theories"

Thoughts of the On Practice and On Contradiction(hereinafter referred to as Two Theories)of Mao Zedong are the inheritance and development of the epistemology and the dialectics of the Marxism.It has been recognized as the model of the Marxism with Chinese characteristics.Since the Two Theories were released,their thoughts have been highly emphasized by the Party Central Committee,have become the theoretical basis and the source of thoughts of basic routes and policies of CPC in at different stages and have been guiding the recognition and practice of the Communists of the People's Republic of China.On this basis,in the new era of socialism construction with Chinese characteristics,Xi Jinping emphasizes again that we should attach high importance to the thoughts of Two Theories of Mao Zedong,and has further inherited and developed the thoughts of Two Theories and enriched the philosophy of the Marxism in combination of the objective practice in the new era.Hence,the author tries to discuss how Xi has inherited and developed the thoughts of Two Theories of Mao Zedong from two aspects of the theory and practice.Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era has developed creatively the theories of "Seeking for Truth from Practice" and "Dialectical Thinking",based on which he has put forward a series of new policies of promoting construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics.Through the systematic analysis of Two Theories of Mao Zedong and the value and position of thoughts of Two Theories of Mao Zedong in formation of the Marxism with Chinese characteristics,the author systematically analyzes the inheritance and development of thoughts of Two Theories by Xi centering on two topics of "Seeking for Truth from Practice" and "Dialectical Thinking" elaborated by Xi and then discusses application of these innovative thoughts in construction of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.The article consists of four parts.In the first part,the author mainly describes the basic connotation of On Practice and On Contradiction of Mao Zedong and intrinsic uniformity of "Two Theories" and discusses the creation background and important role of "Two Theories".In the second part,the author elaborates in detail inheritance and development of Xi for philosophy of Marxism in Two Theories,specifically including thoughts of "Seeking for Truth from Practice" and "Dialectical Thinking" elaborated by Xi.In the third part,penetrating from the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,the author discusses Xi Jinping's theoretical guidance of "Eight Aspects of Specification" and practical guidance of "Fourteen Aspects of Insistence".Organic integration and unity of "Eight Aspects of Specification" and "Fourteen Aspects of Insistence" embodies the inheritance and practice of the essence of "Two Theories" of Mao Zedong in the new era.The above discussion has both theoretical and practical significance.On the one hand,it provides a reference for systematically understanding Xi Jinping's philosophical thought and its position and significance in the process of Chinese Marxism.On the other hand,it also provides a theoretical coordinate for comprehensively and dialectically understanding Xi Jinping's practice of building socialism with Chinese characteristics.
