The Study Of Trump Administration's Policy Toward Russia

US-Russia relations have always been one of the most important bilateral relations in the international system.Changes in the bilateral relations between the United States and Russia have affected the order of many regions in the world and the development of other countries.The US policy on Russia has an important impact on US-Russia relations.After the Trump administration came into power,the US interests were prioritized,seeking the protection of the US national security and enhancing US economic interests.The US authorities re-balanced the content of their Russian policy and tried to devote more national resources to their own domestic development.During the implementation of Trump's Russia policy,Trump's personal attitude toward Russia,the fierce domestic partisan struggle,and the changing international landscape and other factors have affected it.Looking at the content of the Trump administration's policy toward Russia,the overall trend of the US strategy towards Russia shows that the Trump administration has implemented strategic containment of Russia with US interests at the center.First of all,the United States reconsidered its strategic interests in the international region,and sought new strategic results from the United States' strategic game against Russia.Second,the Trump administration views US-Russia relations as a major power competition and emphasizes Russia's threat to US security and global strategy.From the perspective of safeguarding US national interests,the US government imposes new economic sanctions on Russia,with the intention of reducing the threat of Russian international influence to the US national strategy by cracking down on Russian economic and trade development.Third,the US authorities got rid of the constraints of the "Guide to the Treaty",expanded NATO's sphere of influence,and continuously expanded its military power to meet the challenges facing the United States in the world's multipolarization.This article analyzes and studies the Trump administration's Russia policy from three aspects: the internal and external basis,main content and influence of the Trumpadministration's Russia policy.In addition to the introduction,this article consists of four parts.The details are as follows:Chapter 1 mainly sorts out the basic development trajectory of US-Soviet relations and US-Russian relations,and on this basis,explores the reasons for US policy toward Russia.Explain that the US and Russia have conflicts of interest and ideological differences in national strategies.Chapter 2 explores the changes in the attitude of the US President Trump to Russia through the influence of the "Russia through Russia" by clarifying the domestic and foreign motivations during the implementation of the Trump administration's policy toward Russia.The lack of coherence,the expansion of Russia's strategy in the international community,the changes in relations between Europe and Russia,and the continued turmoil in the Middle East have become the driving forces driving the United States to contain Russia.Chapter 3 mainly analyzes the content of the Trump administration's Russia policy from the political,economic and military levels.Analysis of the Trump administration's geopolitical containment of Russia in Ukraine,Syria and other regions through military intervention and economic sanctions;the promulgation of sanctions bills at the economic level to impose economic sanctions on Russia;the promotion of NATO expansion at the military level,strengthening military power,global Regional military strategic deployment,withdrawal from the "Guide to the Treaty" and development of new military weapons,and military confrontation with Russia.Based on this,the main contents of the US authorities' policy toward Russia are sorted out.Chapter 4 analyzes the impact of the US policy on Russia from four aspects: the domestic situation in the United States,the damage to Russia's interests,the destabilization of the Middle East and Europe,and the weakening of the U.S.global hegemony support strategy.An analysis of the US policy towards Russia has not eased the domestic partisan struggle,forming an "anti-Russian" political atmosphere and the acceleration of US military strength;adversely affecting Russia's political,economic,and military security;and adversely affecting order and security in Europe and the Middle East;Arouse Russian and European countries' dissatisfaction with the Trump administration's policies,affecting the US global strategy.
