In the information age,information technology is widely used in various fields,and it is no exception in labor relations.More and more employers use information technology to collect and process personal information of laborers,but in this process,they often violate the laborers' right of privacy right due to exceeding the necessary and reasonable limits.In addition,due to the high pursuit of personal information of laborers,employers require laborers to actively provide all kinds of personal information unrelated to work in a strong attitude,thus infringing the laborers' right of privacy,which is also a concern of the protection of laborers' right of privacy in the information age.The status of laborers and employers is naturally unequal.Laborers are usually in a weak position due to financial and personnel management factors.In the information age,this kind of inequality is more obvious due to the large use of information technology by employers,which is one of the factors that laborers' right of privacy is vulnerable to infringement.Therefore,the protection of laborers' right of privacy should be more inclined to laborers' side.According to the personal information protection law of the European Union and Germany,the personal information protection law embodies the inclined protection of the data subject of the vulnerable party,which includes the personal information of laborers in the scope of protection and essentially protects the laborers' right of privacy.Therefore,China should formulate the personal information protection law as soon as possible to fully protect the laborers' right of privacy.In addition,it should be noted that the unbalanced allocation of rights,the lack of reasonable supervision,the imperfection of legal relief channels,and the inadequate function of trade unions are also factors that lead to the violation of laborers' right of privacy.It is necessary to improve the provisions of Articles 8 and 9 of the labor contract law as soon as possible,strengthen the supervision function of the labor supervision department,improve the legal relief channels,and give full play to the rights and duties of trade unions so as to protect laborers' right of privacy in the information age.
