According to the report to the 19 th national congress of the communist party of China(CPC),the principal contradiction in Chinese society has been the contradiction between unbalanced and inadequate development and the people's ever-growing needs for a better life.After the transformation of the principal social contradiction,how to rationally use the classic texts of Marx and Engels to carry out theoretical interpretation of the "good life" in the new era has become a new demand for the development of the current marxist theory and a realistic need for the cause of building socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.Among them,the analytical framework of historical materialism with material production as the core embodied in the German ideology helps us to better understand what the "good life" that the people really need in the new era is,and further think about how we can create our own "good life" through practice.Based on the framework of historical materialism in the German ideology,the people's "good life" has different specific connotations in different theoretical dimensions.In the perspective of "broad sense of historical materialism",the broad view of good life refers to the general basis and material motive force that the people need to realize a good life.In the perspective of "narrow sense of historical materialism",the concept of good life in the narrow sense refers to the alienation phenomenon of human being being controlled by capital caused by division of labor under the criticism of capitalist mode of production,so as to find the realistic path for people to realize a better life,that is,the development path of socialism with Chinese characteristics with people as the center.The "good life" in the theoretical dimension of "world history" refers to the fact that the people of all ethnic groups in the world are increasingly connected with each other,and the commercial trade and cultural exchanges are increasingly frequent.Under the new historical juncture of socialism with Chinese characteristics,the concept of good life in the new era,as the verification and development of historical materialism theory in China,has an inseparable and close connection with the transformation of the main contradiction,the five-in-one overall layout and the deployment of major decisions such as the community with a Shared future for mankind.
