Paying attention to students' classroom silence is not only owing to the re alistic demand of educational equity and educational quality,but also the lack of students' freedom and the teachers' mistaking of students' classroom silence.Silence and dialogue,is one of the basic contradictions in classroom teaching.However,compared with the dialogue,silence has received less attention,and i ts rich educational implications and values have not been properly examined an d demonstrated.Middle school students' classroom silence is still a common phe nomenon in realistic educational activities,which puzzles the majority of educa tors.In this study,through observing classroom teaching activities and students classroom silence in junior high school in depth,and collecting teachers and students interviews on experience and understanding of silence,we reflect and put forward coping strategies about classroom silence from the perspective of h ermeneutics.The study found that junior middle school have a high degree of s ilence and silence in classroom is complex,and classroom silence has a clear body posture,facial expressions,eye and so on characteristics.As a kind of “sp eech”,students' classroom silence expressed the rich connotation of education:students ignorant anxiety,students fear of failure and resistance,students resent ment and helplessness of being neglected,students negative classroom participat ion and giving up classroom participation,students oppression of high control cl ass model,students demand of their positive image.Moreover,students classroo m silence indicate that teachers and students have a close rapport and both of them selflessly devoted to educational activities.Moreover,students' classroom sil ence reflects that classroom dialogue have non-ecological characteristics and util itarian orientation,embodies that the listening is the recessive form of classroo m dialogue,and silence is the deep expression of classroom dialogue.The classroom silence of junior middle school students have different circu mstances in different classroom:some teachers not only can understand student s ' learning needs,and actively create silence,create a positive classroom teach ing ecological cycles,but also can use their educational wisdom and teachingwit to response to students' classroom silence subtly,resolve the mind blank,an d psychological pressure on students.On the contrary,some teachers are ignorin g students' language in the classroom,ignoring students' classroom silence,or a buse of teachers' educational power distorted student' classroom silence.From th e perspective of hermeneutics,the key of different circumstances of students' cl assroom silence is classroom dialogue.The spirit of “understanding” and “dialog ue” of classroom,teachers' and students' understanding of curriculum,the teache r education wisdom,teachers' education authority and so on,are the key factor s affecting the quality of classroom dialogue.From the perspective of hermeneutics,the classroom silence of Junior high school students brings us a lot of reflection and inspiration.On the educational idea,silence is the true form of classroom dialogue,so education needs the "understanding" spirit.And silence as way of life as a student call for life consc iousness of education.Moreover,silence as a utilitarian product of education indi cate that education should pursue higher level.Starting from the educational pra ctice,silence as in the meaning of classroom dialogue call for the “listening”quality of education,silence as a good opportunity for education and classroom resources call for educational wisdom,silence as a reflection of curriculum unde rstanding call for the spirit of dialogue,silence as the embodiment of the power of education call for the consciousness of the power of education.All in all,on ly basing on the spirit of “understanding” and “dialogue” can we hope to capt ures the essence of classroom silence and a deep understanding students' classr oom silence deeply.Only education filling the spirit of "understanding" and "dia logue" will we be able to act with more wisdom in educational practice.
