Research On The Current Situation And Promotion Of College Students’ Ecological Literacy

In the context of the global ecological crisis,countries around the world are gradually aware of the necessity to reexamine the relationship between humans and nature.Conducting ecological civilization construction on a global scale,constructing community of human destiny,promoting global environmental protection and governance system reform,forming a good atmosphere for all citizens to participate in environmental protection,these are major missions which development of social civilization left to us.University students are the builders and successors of the socialist cause,it is also the main force for the construction of ecological civilization in China.Raising the level of college students’ ecological literacy is an inevitable requirement for the development of a new era.Through a review of the literature,the author confirms that college students’ ecological literacy is a comprehensive literacy of ecological knowledge,ecological awareness,ecological emotion,ecological behavior,ecological ethics,and ecological aesthetics,which formed through the acquired efforts and interaction with the environment.When researching on the current situation and promotion of college students’ ecological literacy,mainly use of literature research method to confirm the components of ecological literacy,and use of questionnaires,interviews and statistical analysis to scientifically analyze the current situation and causes of college students’ ecological literacy.It is found that the current situation of college student’s ecological literacy has the problems that the level of ecological literacy structure is extremely uneven,the level of ecological behavior literacy is obviously low,the level of ecological knowledge literacy is not high and the level of ecological aesthetic literacy is slightly insufficient.After further research and analysis,it is found that the main reasons for college students’ ecological literacy problems are: the education and attention of ecological civilization education in universities is not enough,undergraduates’ ecological environment theory learning insufficiency and practice participation in inactivity,community awareness of environmental protection is not strong and interest is not high,parents pay insufficient attention to ecological environment is not enough and their ability is not strong.Based on the analysis of the cause of the problem,the author proposed the ways of improving the ecological literacy of college students.Specifically,efforts should bemade from the following aspects: universities pay attention to and strengthen ecological civilization education,college students consciously practice ecological environmental protection mission,community and parents work hard to create an environmentally friendly atmosphere.Only use the power of all parties in society,collaborative education for ecological literacy,we can create a healthy atmosphere for the cultivation of ecological literacy,promote the overall improvement of college students’ ecological literacy,promote China’s ecological civilization construction,ultimately solve the global ecological crisis.
