Study On The Countermeasures To Improve College Students’ Ecological Literacy From The Perspective Of Ecological Civilization Construction

Ecological crisis is no longer a distant topic now, so everyone in the world could face ecological problems. For example, in recent years, more frequent haze weather in our country has seriously affected the physical and mental health and daily activities of people. In order to realize the human’s overall development and the continuous progress of our society, we must ensure that people live in a safe and comfortable living environment, and the most fundamental is the realization of good ecological environment. In this way, the report of Communist Party’s 18th Congress first discussed the ecological civilization as a single part, and for the first time the "beautiful China" was treated as the grand goal of future ecological civilization construction. Putting the ecological civilization construction on the height of overall layout to discuss demonstrates that our party is to deepen the understanding of the overall layout of China socialism. The construction of ecological civilization is placed on the height of "Five in One" to discuss which can also show that the Chinese nation’s responsible spirit to our descendants and the world. The construction of ecological civilization is not only the guidelines, policies, laws, and regulations promulgated by the government, also is not only the enterprise’s efforts for cleaner production, more important is that every citizen should have the basic knowledge, ecological consciousness and behavior of ecological protection. So the new concept of "ecological literacy" emerges as require of the times. As the future masters, college students who have ecological literacy can be beneficial to the construction of ecological civilization, so this paper discusses how to improve the ecological literacy of college students.This paper is divided into four parts. The first part introduces the purpose and significance of research on ecological literacy improvement of students, as well as the current research situation of this issue at home and abroad. The second part focuses on the basic theories related to the construction of ecological civilization and ecological literacy, not only including the Marx’s thought of ecological civilization theory and the background and connotation of the construction of ecological civilization in China, but also including the connotation, elements and relationship of ecological literacy. The third part of the article analyzes the existing problems of ecological literacy of college students and the causes. I analyze the main problems from ecological literacy’s four elements, and the reasons are from school education, social environment and personal values. The fourth part probes into the countermeasures to improve the ecological literacy of college students, which is expounded from three aspects according to the cause of problems. Colleges and universities have the main responsibility in the ecological education, (and) society should create a good social atmosphere, and the individual shall make the ecological knowledge into the value idea again outside formation behavior.
