Objectives: The paper finds the most optimum interval time in long term complex training by comparing the influence of different time on the muscle performance of lower limbs, and explores the most optimum interval time in complex training. Methods: 24 male undergraduate(age 22.75 ± 0.53 yr,height 178.87 ± 4.86 cm,weight 74.53 ± 4.32kg)were divided randomly into experimental group(immediate group and 4 minutes group)and control group. The experimental group arranged for six weeks of complex training(2 times/per week),while the control group did not carry out any training. There was no interval rest between the barbell squat and deep jump exercises in the immediate group, while the interval time in the 4 minutes group was 4 minutes, and the rest arrangements were consistent. The all subjects were tested in the 1RM barbell squat, the muscle endurance of the lower limbs, the counter movement jump, and the 30 meter sprint preand post-six training period.Results:(1)For the immediate group, the average 1RM barbell squat growth was 36.25 ± 7.44 kg,the increase rate was 30.4%;the average lower limbs muscle endurance increased by 7.63 ± 1.19 times, the increase rate was 29.9%;the average counter movement jump increased by 5.52 ± 0.67 cm,an increase of 11.86%;30 meters sprint average increase of 0.15 ± 0.46 seconds,an increase of 3.56%.For the 4 minutes group, the average 1RM barbell squat growth was 42.50 ± 4.63 kg,the increase rate was 38.4%;the average lower limbs muscle endurance increased by 4.74 ± 0.71 times, the increase rate was 19.2%,and the average counter movement jump increased by 8.10 ± 0.65 cm,and the increase rate was 19.22%;30 meters sprint average increase 0.31 ± 0.68 seconds,an increase of 7.56%.(2)There were significant improvements between the immediate and the 4 minutes groups before and after the experiment.(P <0.001);the control group of test results were no significant differences(P <0.05).(3)There was a significant difference in the improvement rate between lower limbs muscle endurance, counter movement jump, and 30 m sprint test scores of the immediate group and the 4 minutes group(P<0.001),but there was no significant difference in the 1RM barbell squat(P>0.05).Conclusions:(1)The immediate group and 4 minutes group can significantly improve the maximum strength of the lower limbs of male college students;there is no significant difference between the two interval time training methods.(2)The immediate group and the 4 minutes group can significantly improve the endurance of the lower limbs of the male college students, but the training effect of the non-interval complex training method is better than the 4 minute interval training method.(3)The immediate group and the 4 minutes group can significantly improve the ability of the counter movement jump of male college students, but the training effect of the 4 minute interval training method is better than the non-interval complex training method.(4)The immediate group and 4 minutes group can significantly improve the male college students 30 meters sprint speed,4 minute interval training method is better than the non-interval complex training method.
