Social Work Intervention In Communication Problems Between Migrant Children And Their Family

With the rapid urbanization process,the number of children from migrant families appears to be on the rise year by year,which is accompanied by communication problems between migrant children and their family.Such problems have become one of the hot issues in today’s society.How to solve this issue is also a major task for social work and all sectors of society.This article adopts the structured family therapy model to conduct an intervention research as a project on parent-child communication problem concerning migrant children.The main contents are as follows: The first section introduces the necessity of this project,the basic information of the project and the service object;The second section analyzes the requirements of the project.In this section,the research approach of this article is defined through literature review and relevant professional knowledge,and the focus of this research is determined as the difficulties and needs of the object and his family;The third section describes the selection of case practice model of this article and a simple service plan for this project;The fourth section is about the practical intervention process,which mainly adopts a structured family therapy model to carry out the casework intervention in four steps: getting access to the family--assessing the family interactions—monitoring the family dysfunctional collection--rebuilding.Thus,the parent-child communication problem concerning migrant children caused by dysfunction of the family structure is solved;The fifth section tracks and evaluates the project research process and determines the effectiveness of the intervention carried out in this project;The sixth section summarizes and reflects on the implementation of this project.In addition,feasible solutions for the problem are proposed.Through the author’s in-depth study,it can be revealed that the structured family therapy model can effectively solve the communication problems between migrant children and their family and facilitate a harmonious parent-child relationship.This article is certainly worth investigating for not only providing practical support for social work theories,but also proposing feasible measures to solve this problem.
