With the reform of the new curriculum,students more and more become the main body in the teaching activities.Therefore,when preparing lessons,teachers will pay more attention to the students' cognitive level to design teaching based on the understanding and perception of students.Taking application as an example,the thesis relies on a new perspective of cognitive load theory which is applied to mathematics application problems teaching.First of all,relying on the theory of cognitive load,a questionnaire survey of the status of junior middle school mathematics teaching,and at the same time summed up some related factors.On the basis of investigation and study,teaching experiments were then conducted,and finally some relevant control strategies were summarized.Such as optimizing the language of instruction,improving the basic qualities of mathematics teachers,and presenting materials in a reasonable manner,so as to achieve the purpose of controlling the external cognitive load;by simplifying the learning materials,activating the students' schema construction,and satisfying the requirement of reducing the internal cognitive load;inspiring students Learning motivation,cultivating students' good psychological quality,and cultivating students' good study habits can increase the relevant cognitive load.With teaching as a guide,teaching experiments were conducted to test the practical application of cognitive load theory in junior middle school teaching through teaching experiments,and a certain degree of objectivity was evaluated for teaching effectiveness.The data analysis shows that students' learning pressure is significantly reduced,students' interest in learning is improved,and their performance is significantly improved.It can be seen that the theory of cognitive load has a certain effect in the application of junior high school teaching.
