The latest physics curriculum standard points out that teaching should promote the development of students.The theory of SOLO Taxonomy is a about theory the level of thinking,which can monitor students’ thinking and pay attention to their development in the process of teaching.It is in accordance with the requirements of the new curriculum standard.The five levels of the theory of SOLO Taxonomy can be used to scientifically analyze the teaching starting point,teaching objectives,arranging teaching order,selecting teaching methods and designing teaching evaluation in physics teaching design.First of all,on the basis of curriculum standards and teaching materials,the teaching objectives are determined,and the teaching objectives are analyzed by using the theory of SOLO Taxonomy.Secondly,the order of teaching contents is arranged on the basis of the analysis of teaching contents by the theory of SOLO Taxonomy.Then teaching method is choosed according to the student’s foundation and the goal level.Thirdly,the teaching evaluation is designed to diagnose the teaching effect based on the theory of SOLO Taxonomy.Finallly,based on the analysis of the teaching materials,the latest curriculum standards,according to the above methods,a teaching design case of high school physics,the law of conservation of momentum,is designed.From the research,we can find:(1)when we make the physical teaching goal,we analyze the teaching starting point according to the SOLO classification theory,and determine which SOLO level the students’ thinking lies in before learning.SOLO classification theory can be used to analyze the objectives of physical concepts,and the relationship between the five levels of SOLO classification theory and the level of objective cognition can be established:"know" is equivalent to the single-point structure when it refers to the recognition and identification of facts or evidence,"know" corresponds to the multi-point structure when means giving examples or describe the basic characteristics of objects."Cognition" lies between "know" and"understanding",and the level of "Cognition" may belong to a single point structure or a multipoint structure which depends on the complexity of the object.The "understanding" corresponds to the hierarchy of association structures,and the "application" corresponds to the abstract extension structure.(2)The five levels of the theory of SOLO Taxonomy are ascending step by step.After analyzing the level of teaching objectives according to SOLO,the approximate teaching order can be determined.In the first place,according to the theory of SOLO Taxonomy,the students’ thinking before learning and the thinking they need to achieve after learning are analyzed.This is the basis for the choice of physical teaching methods.The teaching methods from front structure to single point structure include teaching method,reading guidance method and observation method(including demonstration experiment method),and teaching method from single point structure to multipoint structure is also teaching method,reading instruction method and observation method(including demonstration experiment method),but due to the increase of knowledge,we should pay attention to the teaching atmosphere.The teaching method of multi point structure to related structure is problem method,discussing and practicing.The teaching methods of associative structure to abstract extension structure include practice,discussion and independent inquiry.(3)According to the characteristics,design principles,subject types,evaluation principles and evaluation methods of teaching evaluation based on SOLO classification theory,this paper designs SOLO evaluation questions for teachers to carry out teaching evaluation.(4)Using the above methods to design the teaching design of"Law of Conservation of momentum" provides a new case for modem classroom teaching.It can be seen that the physics teaching design based on the theory of SOLO Taxonomy pays close attention to students’thinking,can help teachers to diagnose the teaching effect and gives advice to teaching.
