Research On Learning Style Of Middle School Students And Management Strategy

As one of the learners' individual differences,more and more researchers and teachers have paid much attention to the learning style.It's important for school masters and teachers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the learning style preferences of middle school students in order to have a correct managerial idea.Meanwhile,it's also necessary for Middle School students to know their own learning styles so as to be more positive and effective in learning.Based on the systematically elaborated relevant theories of learning styles,the study chose 170 students of G Middle School in southwest of Hunan as object of study.The methods of study are questionnaire and observation.The results suggest that the middle school students have a diversified tendency in learning style.Their tendency in the six learning styles are: group,haptic,auditory,kinesthetic,visual,independent.Their major learning style are group,haptic and the rest four learning style are secondary,no unused learning style.What's more,most of students have more than two kinds of learning styles.There are no significant differences in different grades.There are significant differences in such learning styles as auditory and visual in gender.The girls prefer auditory,while boys prefer visual.There is significant difference in haptic.Kinesthetic and haptic have positive correlation in different grades.The students with good grades are prefer kinesthetic and haptic.According to the results,they are suggestions: Firstly,the Educational executive organizations should promote reform the academic evaluation,besides the written examination,the ability of practical should be included.Secondly,the schools are supposed to update the managerial idea,provide the good environment for different learners;improving teaching conditions;organizing the teacher's training and cost input.Thirdly,the teachers should attract and understand the learning styles,be aware of learning styles and keep a watchful eye on different students,match learners' learning style in teaching activities to motivate the positive of learning styles and help learners to understand and extend their learning styles.Lastly,the students should pay much attention to change the study idea in order to rebuild the knowledge and strengthen self-management on life and learning.
