Since the 18 th National Congress of the People's Republic of China,the construction of ecological civilization has received more and more attention.However,the construction of ecological civilization is in its infancy.Ecological education lags behind social and economic development.Research on ecological education needs to adapt to changes in the times.Environmental issues are not only economic but also social and political issues.Ecological civilization construction requires understanding of the socio-political causes of ecological problems and fundamentally improving the ecological environment on which we depend.Western critical orientation of ecological pedagogy helps people to recognize the profound causes and impacts of environmental destruction by criticizing the socio-political causes of environmental problems.It also advocates the adoption of positive ecopedagogy movements to realize the liberation of ecology and towards more fairness and justice.harmonious society.This article mainly focuses on the following issues: 1.What is ecopedagogy? 2.Why did ecopedagogy move toward criticism? 3.What are the basic ideas and practices of the critically oriented ecopedagogy? For the main research issues in this paper,this paper includes six parts:The first part of the introduction explains the background of the topic,the significance of the topic,the status quo of the research,the method of thinking and the definition of the core concepts.The research status includes a review of environmental education practices and research at home and abroad.At the same time,the concepts of "environmental education","ecological education" and " ecopedagogy " were determined.The second part is the first chapter of this study,which describes the development of ecopedagogy.First of all,it is described that the development of ecopedagogy experienced three stages: environmental education,sustainable development education and ecological education.These three phases are not simple linear progressive relations,but they have different focuses in different periods.Secondly,two kinds of ecological pedagogy developed according to the ecopedagogy thoughts: the ecological pedagogy with the orientation of technical knowledge and the ecological pedagogy with the critical orientation,and a brief analysis of the ecological pedagogy with two orientations leads to the ecological pedagogy.The course of development reflects the critical nature of ecological pedagogy.The third part is the background of the criticism of ecopedagogy.Firstly,the theoretical background of the critically oriented ecological pedagogy is pointed out,and the critically oriented ecological pedagogy combines the critical theory with the critical pedagogy theory to deepen the philosophical foundation and vision of this orientation of ecological pedagogy.Second,it points out the realistic background of the critical-oriented ecological pedagogy,that is,the global ecological crisis requires that ecological pedagogy respond.The fourth part is the basic idea and practice of ecologically oriented pedagogy.The critically oriented ecological pedagogy advocates a critique of the socio-political causes of environmental problems,advocates the search for social justice and ecological justice,and constructs a critical analysis framework from the perspective of the universe,science,and organization.The practice of critically oriented ecological pedagogy includes the transformation of environmental education at school level and the social ecological education movement at the level of social education.The fifth part is about the evaluation of the critical orientation of ecological pedagogy.The critically oriented ecological pedagogy is a supplement to traditional environmental education and can better cultivate ecological citizens,but it is difficult to get practical support because of its criticism of political and social ideology.The sixth part is the conclusion and inspiration.The critical orientation of ecological pedagogy as a branch of Western eco-educational ideological trends,its ideas and practices have important implications for the development of ecological education in China and the construction of ecological civilization: ecological pedagogy requires the tapping of the value of traditional ecological knowledge in China;advocacy of ecology Education curriculum construction;emphasis on lifelong education for eco-citizens;strengthening teachers' ecological education and training;paying attention to international ecological pedagogy exchanges and cooperation;accelerating eco-environment education legislation and so on.
