In the daily life and study,because of themselves or the surrounding environment,students will form a certain amount misconceptions in their cognitive structure which exist will cause impact on the students in-depth study and understanding of the world correctly.Senior middle school biology involves many aspects of biological knowledge,such as cell,heredity,homeostasis,environment,modern biotechnology,etc.There are many concepts in each of the knowledge modules,concepts derived from the concept and related extension knowledge and examples are also more extensive and deeper,the principles and mechanisms involved in many physiological regulation are also more complex,so it is the prerequisite and foundation for students to master these knowledge correctly and to form a scientific concept.In the process of school education,once students form misconceptions,teachers need to help students transform concepts and turn misconceptions into scientific concepts.In this research,the main content of the study is based on the homeostasis concept of senior middle schoo biology.First of all,the reasons for the topic are expounded from the importance of the concept teaching?the relative lack of the study of the concept homeostasis and the advantages of the four tier survey questionnaire.secondly in the literature review,combing the conceptual terms related to the misconceptions,and summarizing the characteristics of the concept of myth?the cause of formation?the related theories and the methods of measuring the misconceptions,so as to confirm the contents of this research:The design principle of the four tier survey questionnaire?The"homeostasis"conception map of senior middle schoo biology?The four tier survey questionnaire of homeostasis misconception?The distribution of homeostasis misconception?High frequency and low frequency"homeostasis"misconception?The reasons for the formation of"homeostasis"misconception.standard of questionnaire evaluation and characteristics.The tool used in this rasearch to explore students' homeostasis misconceptions is the four tier survey questionnaire.First,the design and compilation standards of the four tier survey questionnaire are determined.After that,the design,compilation,revision and finalization of the four tier survey questionnaire are elaborated in detail:Defining related concepts-the homeostasis content is divided into four parts:"internal environment and homeostasis of human body","regulation of animal and human life activities","plant hormone regulation" and "ecosystem homeostasis";Drawing up the concept maps-further defining the scope of the concept and combing the logical relationship between concepts;Design of a semi open questionnaire-collection of reason options;Draw up and test the preliminary four tier survey questionnaire-test reliability and validity of the questionnaire?discover the problem and modify;Draw up a formal questionnaire and invite experts to review and finalize the draft.Finally,the score and evaluation criteria of the questionnaire are determined after a detailed analysis.The survey object of the questionnaire is six classes in Shenzhen Science High School and six classes of Jining Affiliated High School of Beijing Normal University.Through the statistical analysis on the results of questionnaire,find out the distribution of the scientific conceptions and misconceptions in the four knowledge modules,find that students in the plant hormone regulation module misconception is the most concentrated,discover 5 low frequencyand and 7 high frequency misconceptions.At the same time,the research also find that there were great differences in the level of misconceptions among the best,poor and middle students.There were significant differences in the level of misconceptions between male students and female students,and further analyzed the main reasons for the generation of misconceptions,the characteristics and advantages of the questionnaire are analyzed in detail.Finally,three problems during the research are discussed and analyzed that provides a reference for researchers in future study,hoping to avoid the same problem,the four tier survey questionnaire will be more accurate and scientific in the investigation of misconceptions.At the same time,this research put forward three teaching suggestions to teachers,hoping that teachers can help students to avoid and change these misconceptions more effectively.
