The children at risk of math disabilities have difficulties in mathematics learning and lags far behind their peers. The problem of word problem solving is a common mathematical disability of children at risk of math disabilities in primary school. At present, there are few researches on the level of word problem solving for children at risk of math disabilities which mainly focus on emotional factors or cognitive factors and they are mainly limited to theoretical discussions;as well as the research of the relationship between math anxiety and working memory. This study examines the level of math problem-solving,math anxiety, and the level of problem solving of children with mathematics difficulties. The purpose of this thesis is to explore the relationship between working memory components(central executive sketch pad, phonological loop and visual spatial),mathematical anxiety and application of word problem solving in students at risk of math disabilities, and whether mathematical anxiety plays a mediating or regression role in it?The experimental results show that:1.children at risk of mathematics learning difficulties have a high level of math anxiety;2.children at risk of mathematics learning difficulties have a general working memory deficiency;3.children with mathematics learning difficulties apply a lower level of problem solving;4.math anxiety, working memory and word problem sovling are significantly related;5.working memory is predictive for word problem sovling;6.working memory is a mediating variable for math anxiety and problem solving.According to the research results, the following suggestions are proposed:1.to carry out early interventions to improve the mathematics skills and working memory;2.to relieve the anxiety of mathematics and reduce the load for cognitive processing;3.to implement the system of working memory training and implementation mechanisms and storage mechanisms intervention;4.to provide guidance on mathematical problem solving strategies and master effective problem-solving techniques.
