With the development of the internationalization of education,the international comparison of education has become a hot issue.This paper compares the statistics and probability contents of the VCE mathematics curriculum in Australia with the textbooks published by People's Education Press.Through the way of literature analysis,case analysis and summarizing experience,I compare the distribution of knowledge points,the requirements of criterion for curriculum,examples and exercises and the application of information technology.It is found that:(1)Australian mathematics curriculum highlights the status of statistics.The time to enter the textbook is long,The level of difficulty is equal to that of our country.(2)Our book are written accorded to the order of "statistics-probability-statistics",the Australian textbook is based on the simple main line of "probability-statistics".(3)In terms of examples,the examples of textbooks in China has the characteristics of "less and more refined".Australian textbooks are characterized by "many and redundant" features,which enrich the exercises and facilitate practice.The conclusion is based on the above research(1)improving the status of statistics and probability knowledge(2)increase the number of knowledge points and pay attention to the integrity of knowledge.(3)increase the number of examples and exercises(4)pay attention to the use of information technology(5)innovate teaching and examination form...
