Research On The Influence Of Universal Values On Contemporary College Students

For the past few years,discussions on the issue of universal values have not diminished.Apart from the continuous and extensive researches in academic field,there are also many insidious people who extend the discussions to the field of political ideology.They speak highly of western democracy,freedom,human rights and respective systems,saying they're universal,and demand people from other countries to follow and obey the rules in any time,any society.Its essence is to represent the interest demands of the western bourgeoisie.Being a corrosive trend of thought,it aims at spreading and advocating core values and social system by western capitalists.The so-called "universal ideological trends" is very deceptive,which can easily mislead and confuse contemporary college students' ideology and ideas,and adversely affect the growth and success of college students.Based on the concept of "universal values" as a starting point,this thesis summarizes the origin,developmental trends,content features and essence of universal values.In addition,it comprehensively analyzes the characteristics of universal values on college students' influence and specific performance,and further studies the reasons for the trend of universal value's impact on college students and put forward to some corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.This paper is divided into three parts:The first part is an overview on the theory of universal values.In this part,the author mainly discusses the concept,background and content of universal values.First and foremost,it clarifies the research angle of this article about "universal value thought" and defines related concepts.Secondly,it analyzes the origin and development of universal ideological trends in China.Finally,it summarizes and discusses the main features of the universal value thought,and points out its political essence.The second part is about the status quo of the influence of universal values on contemporary college students.This section,supported by empirical research,starts with three aspects: First,it describes the overall design of research,introduces the research object,research content and research process;Second,based on the research,it analyzes the cognitive level of contemporary college students on universal values as well as multi-faceted cognitive differences;third,it further analyzes the specific impact of universal values on college students' attitude on politics,value and life.The final part analyzes the reasons for the influence of universal values on college students and the corresponding methods and suggestions.As for the reason analysis,this part analyzes the dissemination characteristics of universal values in college students from communication perspective,and then explores relevant countermeasures and suggestions.
