Questionnaire Development And Preliminary Application Of Early Education Needs For Special Children's Parents

With the deepening of the early integration education concept of "early discovery,early intervention and early integration",understanding the early education needs for special children has become an important basis for providing early education services.The particularity of special children's expressions determines the importance of research on parental endorsement needs,and the he early education needs for special children based on the perspective of parents are expressed more comprehensively and deeply.In this study,the parents of early special children were selected as research objects.Based on the all-around aspects of needs for special children's life and education,the structure,status,influence factors and satisfaction of needs for early special children's life and education were explored to improve the pertinence of the education service for early special children.With the methods of the analysis of literature and archives,semi-structured interviews,and open questionnaires,an initial structural questionnaire was formed.A sample of the parents of the special children of the PK-3 class was sent,the questionnaire using a stratified sampling method in one province.The survey and second survey questionnaires were used for project analysis and exploratory factor analysis to form formal questionnaires.The larger sample groups were used for formal testing by means of confirmatory factor analysis,reliability and validity tests.The study found that:(1)There are four dimensions of early education needs for special children:convenience services,life care,teacher responsibilities,and educational content.The questionnaire has good reliability and validity,and the model is well-fitted;(2)The needs of early education for special children's average of total demand is 4.42,and the average of total satisfaction is 4.24.and they are high at the overall level.The four dimensions of education needs for parents from high to low are teachers' responsibilities,education content,life care,and convenience services.The four dimensions of satisfaction from high to low are teachers' responsibilities,education content,life care,and convenience services.The degree of demand and satisfaction are in good agreement,and their needs can be basically met.(3)There are significant differences both in the overall and in all dimensions of parents' early education needs and education satisfaction,which shows that the needs of early education for special children should be further improved;(4)There are significant differences in the overall level of education demand and the four dimensions of the education needs of the special children,such as household registration,school segments,rankings,and barrier types,parental accounts,parents,age,family structure,and types of primary caregivers,which may affect the needs.(5)The gender of the special child,whether it is only child,parent-child relationship,parental income,number of children,and the physical condition of the primary caregiver are not found to be related to educational needs.It may be a sample limitation or it may be real.The research shows that the structure of questionnaire is basically stable.There are four aspects,that is,convenience services,life care,teacher responsibilities,and educational content.The level of needs for special early childhood education is high,and sample group's needs are basically met,but satisfaction should be further improved;special children's household registration,school segment,ranking,obstacle types,parents account,parental age,family structure,type of primary caregiver,affect early education needs and satisfaction.We should pay attention to the needs of life care,individual differences,lack of compensation needs,more professional teacher needs,and provide them with appropriate educational compensation strategies.
