The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Crisis Management Of Private Colleges And Universities In The New Media Era

Civilian-run universities are an important part of higher education in our country.There are significant differences in the quality of students and the orientation of running schools between civilian-run universities and ordinary ones.From the perspective of schools,civilian-run universities pay more attention to training students' skills;in daily teaching,there are more professional courses,however,with less basic theoretical ones,which causes that students' knowledge structure is relatively simple and their knowledge should be strengthened.From the students' perspective,the complex sources and relatively low scores of students in civilian-run universities cause that there are gaps between the two kinds of universities in students' comprehensive quality,humanistic quality,cognitive ability,self-control ability and other aspects.Because of the particularity of civilian-run universities,the crisis of it is very frequent,and crisis management faces severe challenges.Meanwhile,under the background of new media era,with the rapid development of new media,the relationship between crisis events in civilian-run universities and Internet media is becoming more and more complex.With the gradual expansion of this relationship,the speed of information dissemination is speeding up,while the crisis presents strongly uncontrollable characteristics.As an important part of Internet users,students and knowledge groups in civilian-run university expect that they can give more concern to social issues and campus events,express personal views and opinions through new media,while build new media information dissemination through discussions and exchanges.At present,most civilian-run universities focus on the reality of space and do not realize influences of network space in the development of emergency crisis management plan process;in the process of designing crisis plans,they do not adopt new media tools into them,such as WeChat,QQ,micro-blog and the like,which makes the crisis management of civilian-run universities present a lot of problems.The new media provides great convenience for information dissemination,and also causes the difficulty of crisis management in private universities.Therefore,it is necessary for civilian-run universities to innovate the crisis management mode combined with the development of the new situation.Based on the crisis management theory,this paper analyzes the crisis characteristics of civilian-run universities.Combined with the background of new media,it pointed out the impact of new media on civilian-run universities crisis management.Through the questionnaire survey of the A civilian-run universities students,it scientifically analyzes the status quo,achievements and problems of the crisis management in civilian-run universities under the background of the new media era.Through the existing problems,it analyzes the reasons from the aspects of building public opinion information collection and sharing platform,information media literacy,crisis management and supervision mechanism,and crisis management personnel reserve etc.Finally,guiding by crisis management theory,communication theory,we want to construct a new system of crisis management in civilian-run universities under the background of new media by building public opinion information collection and sharing platform,strengthening the information media literacy of students,establishing and improving a sound crisis management information supervision mechanism,and promoting crisis management information team construction and other aspects in civilian-run universities.
