Reasonable Marriage:An Anthropological Analysis Of The Hmong's Marriage System In The Highland Of Fangnan

This article mainly uses the Fangnan Highlands of Jianhe County in Guizhou Province as the field investigation point.Through exploring the marriage system of the Hmong society in Fangnan Highlands so that reveal the marriage essence of the Hmong society according to the knowledge of anthropology.In 2014,there was a case of marital strife and "forced divorce" caused by a marriage dispute in the Hmong group in the Fangnan Highland,which later caused a series ofmarriage crisis.Let's the author feel so confused is This “forced to divorce”seemed reasonable to the locals.Why? In order to figure it out,the author has the idea of exploring the marriage system of Hmong nationality in south highland.The author has known from previous studies that there are universal marriage rules in the Hmong society such as unmarried,unmarried people,and unmarried siblings.However,in the actual choice of marriage,it is not only influenced by these rules,but also there are more important rules of marriage,such as the reasonable marriage of the Hmong society in Fangnan Highland.It is influenced by the rules such as the Hmong nationality's branch,the drum collection system,the concept of witchcraft and the authority of the mother's uncle.In the past,the academic community also has understandin of the influence of "uncle right" and "witchcraft" on how to influence Hmong marriage.But their interpretation is fragmented and lack of exploration of the inherent links of the rules.Based on the relevant research results,this paper making a holistic interpretation of the common-sense marriage rules of the Fangnan highland Hmong society of Yang's marriage female.In order to further explore affective marriages,the author mainly uses interviews to conduct in-depth interviews with 6typical cases and an interview of 32 people.Through the study of these cases,the author has the conclusion that the marriage in the Hmong society of the Fangnan Highlands is linked to the traditional marriage rules such as the Hmong minority branch system,the drum system,the sorcerer-who concept,and the mother-in-law authority.We want to know reason of marriage,it is necessary to put it in the south highland Hmong continue to explore.With the rapid changes in the social culture of the Hmong ethnic group,the traditional marriage system has faced severe challenges.There is a serious disagreement or even a conflict between the concept choices of young people and the traditional marriage rules.However,traditional culture still has a strong influence so that cause many marriage crises and family tragedies.For this,how should themarriage system develop in the face of social modernity? This is a question that we have to further consider and explore.
