One of the characteristics of American higher education is the third party evaluation,which is involved in the education management.The construction and improvement of its evaluation system is inseparable from the third party evaluation of higher education.The third party assessment of higher education in the United States provides an effective guarantee for its quality of education,and promotes American higher education on the road to scientific development.Years of practical experience show that promoting the quality of higher education through the third party assessment is an effective regular measure,and is also an important way for the quality improvement and healthy development of higher education in other countries in the world.In recent years,our country has vigorously promoted the popularization of higher education,and the quality of higher education has been paid more and more attention by the public.At present,the urgent problem is to establish mutual coordination and mutual support among the three social,government and Universities Based on China's national conditions.Building a third party evaluation system with Chinese characteristics is a key way.China issued the "national long-term education reform and development plan(2010-2012 years)showed that" education reform should follow the "government education,school education,social education on new ideas",and proposed to be included in the private third party evaluation in education assessment system.But in the domestic practice of education,higher education evaluation from the third party due to poor running and other factors,still show a lot of problems,and the development of relatively mature American higher education evaluation from the third party to provide a lot of valuable experience for our country and help to construct the higher education quality assurance system to improve the internationalization,science in China,play an important role in the professional and scientific aspects of the promotion of the higher education of the third party evaluation.Therefore,this paper focuses on Higher Education in the United States third party assessment,based on the existing literature,the first in-depth exploration on the current development situation and history of American higher education evaluation from the third party,so as to explore its characteristics and advantages,and ultimately to improve the third party of China's Higher Education evaluation and healthy development experience and puts forward specific proposals.In this paper,comparative analysis,literature and historical research are used in this study to analyze the third party assessment of higher education in the United States.Through the exploration of American higher education evaluation from the third party starting period,rising period in the history of the development and improvement stage,the importance and necessity that the third party evaluation,and concludes the general law of the development of higher education in the United States;in addition to the third party evaluation purpose,function,subject of right,coordination and supervision as well as the characteristics of level a detailed interpretation,so as to realize the thorough understanding and grasp of the overall evaluation of the third party of American higher education.
