Mathematical concept learning is an important way to train students' mathematical thinking, and is also the foundation of building mathematical theory. The APOS theory proposed by American scholar Ed Dubinsky and others on the basis of constructivism is about mathematics learning, and it is helpful to the teaching and learning of mathematical concepts. The new curriculum reform in Zhejiang Province has been implemented for more than 10 years. The curriculum reform has changed the teaching contents of mathematics a lot, especially the content of trigonometric function in the High School Mathematics Compulsory Book Four.In order to know teachers' understanding, grasp the overall situation and students'learning conditions after the new curriculum reform, the study has been investigating the teaching and learning of trigonometric function. The research contents are divided into the following aspects.Firstly, what's the characteristic of APOS theory?Secondly,on the basis of APOS theory, how do students understand and grasp the concept of trigonometric function?Thirdly, how do teachers understand and grasp trigonometric function textbooks?Fourthly, under the guidance of APOS theory, the study tries to design four teaching cases in trigonometric function teaching.Fifthly, the study aims to analyze the difficulties of students' learning trigonometric function concept, and bring us the teaching enlightenment.Sixthly, the study points out the limitations of APOS theory. This study focuses on the students' understanding of the concept to reach the level of APOS theory, thereby analyzing the existing problems of students, then trying to practice the teaching design under the guidance of APOS theory.
