As an important psychological factor affecting students’ learning and development,professional identity is highly valued by scholars at home and abroad.Studies have shown that low professionalism is an important factor for students lacking motivation to learn.In China,professional choices have been completed before entering the university.Some students’ choices of majors are not based on the recognition of majors.After studying related professional courses at the university,they discovered that there were problems with the identity of the professional and affected students’ follow-up.professional study.There is no relevant research conclusion in the academic circles of Inner Mongolia.Based on this research status,combined with the self-identity and social identity theory,the author divides the professional identity into four dimensions: professional cognition,professional emotion,professional environment,and professional employment orientation.From the variables of gender,grade,school,academic record,and household type,examine whether professional identity differs in these variables.Through questionnaires and in-depth interviews,435 valid samples and 20 in-depth interview records were collected in five universities in Hohhot.After effective data processing and analysis,the following conclusions were obtained: First,the news Undergraduate students majoring in communication studies are not very professional,and are at a moderately high level.Second,the professional identity of undergraduate journalism majors differs in different grades,different schools,and different learning achievement variables.There is no significant difference in gender,household registration type variables.Third,professional environment and professional identity are the most relevant,followed by professional emotions,professional employment trends,and professional knowledge.Finally,according to the results of the survey and interviews,the article gives relevant suggestions from three aspects: student body,school construction,and social guidance.This study is conducive to understanding the status of professional identification of undergraduates in journalism and communication in Inner Mongolia,and timely mastering students’ psychological status.At the same time,it can provide effective reference for universities to find out the deficiencies in teaching,and provide effective reference for improving news education and education.The level of dissemination of education has certain reference significance.
