The traditional study of social stratification focuses on economic stratification(such as income,wealth)and work in the field of distinction(such as occupation,division of labor,production relations,employment relations,etc.),however,in today's social stratification research field,more and more sociologists put consumer stratification in more important position.In reality,consumption is more reflective of individual's social status and social structure than income and occupation.The variety of consumption is integrated into a structural framework,a certain level of people to wear what kind of clothes is appropriate,to what kind of restaurant to feel comfortable,consumer spending of the project how to allocate,to a large extent,reflects the obvious class difference.Of course,in the current mention of social stratification,people think of "class,definite composition",this is a traditional mode of thinking.Social stratification is a simple method for us to understand the complex structure of human society,and the basic aim of social stratification is to make society develop harmoniously.Therefore,the research on the consumption stratification can make us know more about the polarization of the social stratum in the consumption,on the other hand,it is also an important channel for us to understand the social structure,to coordinate the contradictions among the social strata and to safeguard the interests of all strata.The significance of adult education consumption through social stratum is not only that,in addition,China is a hierarchical society,members of society must be in a certain social stratum,and different classes have different characteristics in income,occupation,culture,social resources and so on.Therefore,we can explore the occurrence of adult education consumption through the nature of these social strata.Furthermore,according to the characteristics of adult education,the academic community agrees that adult education has the function of social functions and has certain influence on the life of social members in the Stratum society,through the interaction and function of social stratum and adult education consumption,we can explore the continuation and reason of the consumption behavior of adult education.Therefore,this study based on the perspective of social stratification,combined with the background of this profession,the adult education consumption of all classes as the object of study,the form of questionnaires to the adult educational consumption of the status quo investigation.According to the data obtained,referring to the standards of social stratification in the academic circles,this paper divides three groups from the research data: The affluent stratum,the middle stratum and the disadvantaged stratum,then analyzes the educational consumption status of three classes,including the consumption structure and level,the consumption behavior and the factors affecting consumption.Then through the interview method,using the interview material to show several typical cases,and the different classes of adult education consumption characteristics of the induction and education consumption function.Finally,try to make a suggestion.The study found that the education consumption expenditure of adults at all levels increased,and the lifelong learning concept of most adults had been enhanced.However,the educational consumption structure,consumption level and consumption behavior concept of each stratum are different,and the educational consumption status of the affluent stratum and the middle stratum is better than the disadvantaged stratum.The affluent class more expresses to promote the ego accomplishment to carry on the education consumption,displays certain cognition interest.The middle class has more choice to update the knowledge and skills in order to work,reflecting the willingness and instruction of authority and work.The disadvantaged stratum is more for the new work and change the status of education consumption.In the affluent stratum,educational consumption reflects an artistic,the characteristics of the daily life,its educational consumption function point: Explore the meaning and harmony,taste and class reproduction;In the middle class,their educational consumption characteristics are: development and investment,rationality and moderation,restlessness and anxiety,passivity and passivity,and pluralism and vigor,Its educational consumption function points to: the construction of identity,the pursuit of life goals and escape from reality,in the disadvantaged stratum,their education consumption reflects the only money first,drift,stressing reality,eager to the characteristics of their less consumption and not consumption,so that more point to negative function,leading to the risk of class curing.
