The rapid development of information technology makes it possible for education informationization.A large amount of data is stored in the teaching management database.How to discover the hidden information in the data,give full play to the value of the data,and provide decision support for the teaching management has gradually become a new research direction explored by educators.This paper comes from the project of developing teaching management system cooperated by the research group and a vocational school in Xiamen,focusing on exploring how to analyze the information that can provide decision support for college teaching management from a large number of teaching data.The students of vocational and technical schools have poor enrollment,and their learning enthusiasm is relatively low,the failure rate of the courses is relatively high,and many students cannot get the graduation certificate because their credits cannot meet the graduation requirements.At the same time,because graduates do not fully know the employment position in advance,not only the job satisfaction of graduates is low,but also the evaluation of enterprises on graduates and schools is low.In order to improve this phenomenon,schools need to strengthen education supervision and adopt corresponding teaching assistant means.This paper starts from the teaching management needs of vocational and technical school,it selects the theme of grades and employment for research,selects appropriate analysis methods according to different analysis needs,and completes the specific data analysis application form design.Taking the data provided by a vocational and technical school as an example to demonstrate the application of the method.The main research contents are as follows:Firstly,it points out that vocational and technical schools have an urgent need to improve teaching quality and graduate employment quality,analyzes the practical significance of using data analysis to assist teaching management,and expounds the research status of relevant fields.Secondly,the demand analysis is carried out.The conceptual model,logical model and physical model of the data warehouse are successively established.The storage forms of data in the data warehouse are specified.Then from the two aspects of performance and employment,the demand of teaching management data analysis and visualization is summarized.On this basis,the statistical analysis of performance data is carried out,and the visualization application form of performance data and employment data is designed.Finally,the paper explores the application form of data mining in teaching management,selects appropriate algorithm to realize course association analysis,course result prediction and student clustering analysis,and designs the application form of data mining technology.This paper starts from the vocational school teaching management requirements,puts forward a general application method of teaching management based on data analysis,provides reference ideas for solving educational problems by combining visual analysis of data with data mining technology.And this method has certain reference value to the schools which also have the need of course performance analysis or employment guidance.
