With the rapid development of the Internet era,the network has penetrated into people’s daily lives.At the same time,in recent years,the new media as the carrier of the MOOC education,the emergence of Microsoft courses,and the arrival of the era of big data,various new software apps with the application of technology,the tentacles of network technology are extending to all aspects of campus cultural life、 campus management、and social services,bringing new challenges to the traditional campus management concepts and methods of colleges and universities.College students are the most active and most special group of netizens,they are free to express their ideas and express their interests through online media,they are the users of network information and the publishers and disseminators of network information,College students are vulnerable to the influence of bad information or dissemination of words and deeds that do not conform to the mainstream values in the process of interaction with the network,which aggravates the development of irrational emotions and forms network public opinion events.Therefore,colleges and universities should not only proceed from the perspective of students,take college students as the main body,grasp the current network ideological trends of College students,conduct positive public opinion guidance to college students,promote the healthy development of College Students’ body and mind,but also constantly improve the management mechanism of network public opinion in colleges and universities,and maintain the harmony and stability of campus cultural environment.The research comprehensively uses the theory and knowledge of management science,、education and other disciplines,combined with the field investigation of students and college managers,systematically sorts out and discusses the network public opinion management of colleges and universities.This paper consists of five parts in total.The first part is the introduction.It mainly introduces the background,、research purpose and significance、research ideas、research methods and domestic and foreign literature review and concept definition of the network public opinion research in China;The second part discusses the theoretical basis of network public opinion management in Colleges and Universities from three aspects: butterfly effect、 4R crisis management and N-level communication;The third part takes A university as an example,mainly from College students、university administrators、colleges and Universities management mechanism,analyzes the management status of college public opinion and the problems existing in current management;The fourth part analyzes the causes of the problems of college public opinion from three levels: college students、university administrators and university management mechanisms;The fifth part draws lessons from the relevant experience of network public opinion management in foreign universities,proposes corresponding countermeasures from three aspects: network ideological and political、management work team and management mechanism.
