Research On Women's Marital Stability And Satisfaction

Under the influence of traditional Chinese culture,"A women should get married on coming of age" and "Supporting her husband and children" have become the basic requirements for women's married life.However,the concept of marriage between men and women has changed from one generation to the next.As a result,late marriage has become increasingly fierce,and the stability of family has been greatly weakened.Both have become hot issuses that cannot be avoided in modern sociology.With the improvement of women's educational level and economic status,the power structure in traditional marriage relations have been impacted.The change of women's right to participate in decision-making in marriage has become an important factor which affects marital satisfaction.Using the data of China Family Panel Studies(CFPS)of 2014,this study establishes a discrete-time risk model and an Order-Logistic model,using maximum likelihood estimation(MLE),collocating factor analysis to reduce the dimensions of relevant variables,and conducts an in-depth analysis of Chinese women's marriage.Study women's marital stability from the perspective of late marriage and divorce risk.Furthermore,the study also researches the satisfaction of women's marriage from the perspective of women's particiption right in family life.By using the training set(80%)and the test set(20%)to obtain robust results,this study draws the following conclusions respectively.The empirical analysis of female marriage stability shows: first,the age of first marriage for women has significant impact on the stability of marriage,influence model was "U" type and the lowest point in 25 years;second,there is marriage matching effect,marriage couples age difference is greater,the higher the stability of marriage;third,the increase in family size can improve the stability of marriage;fourth,the length of the stable marriage marriage adventure have inverted "U" type effect.The empirical analysis of female marital satisfaction shows: first,women in the marriage of power has a significant effect on marital satisfaction,and have higher marital satisfaction in the flat family structure;second,In the case of other conditions unchanged,weekly weight and eat dinner with family on the number of women's marital satisfaction has a positive impact,so for long-term weight control in diet status of housewives,spending time with family,occasionally let eat will make your marriage happier;third,poor education and dowry value have no significant impact on women's marital satisfaction,while women's income,the satisfaction of the other party's economic contribution and the satisfaction of the other party's contribution to housework have strong positive effects,this shows that women are not very concerned about the educational match between husband and wife,the premarital economic status of women is not a decisive influence on marital satisfaction,while the more independent the woman's economy is,the higher the husband's contribution to the economy and the housework becomes,and the happier women in the marriage life.Under the same conditions,the happiness of marriage is not women are virtuous,but the good man behind the successful woman.It is clear that this conclusion is more demanding for contemporary men,equal respectiom between husband and wife and reducing information asymmetry are the key to a solid marriage.
