Study On The Leisure Community Sense:Social Meaning And Influence For Leisure Development

In order to solve the modern society leisure problems,as like privatization,individuation,commercialization,pacification and passivity,the study of leisure community is advocated by leisure studies.This study aims at.conceptualizing of leisure community,searching for its social meaning and influence factors by the case study of square dance which is a representative leisure community in China.Leisure community has social value,such as enhanced identity,formation for cultural capital and the establishment of social capital.The core of leisure community which strengthen social bond on the base of trust,is community sense.As a result of analysis of square dance community in Hangzhou city,the study revealed that the five factors help form the sense of community;the age of participator,duration of community engagement,frequency of participation,evaluation and expectation about the development of the community they are involved in.Accordingly,for the continuous development of leisure community,it is necessary to activate of youth leisure community,to support the formation of leisure community in daily life,and to develop the leisure community growth policies.
