Lu Cun is an ordinary village located in the suburb of the Lufeng County,Chuxiong Prefecture, central Yunnan Province,China. With the continuous advancement of China's urbanization and industrialization process, the spatial pattern system of Lucun had also undergone significant changes, and the social space inside and outside the village had been continuously reconstructed. This paper using the theory of space production, through field research and literature collection, based on the description of the traditional Lu Cun spatial system, discusses the transformation process of its space from these aspects:social layout of the village, the residential layout, the agricultural space and the sacred space since 1930s.At the same time, this paper also focuses on the spatial production process experienced by Lu Cun,discussing different operational logic followed by village space production in the traditional era and current village space production, and analyzes the transformation process of social space model and village space order. After the founding of New China, the state had carried out the land reform movement. The traditional Confucian ethics thought had lost its legal status at the national level, and its products in the material space had been lost-using or destroyed. In the early 1960s and 1970s,the country had carried out the rural cooperative movement, and Lu Cun had experienced the stage of primary, intermediate and senior cooperative organization.During this period, state power was the most important factor shaping the social space of the village. After the reform and opening, more and more villagers had engaged in non-agricultural operations in Lu Cun,and more villagers had walked out of the village and entered the city to seek economic income. After the 1990s,the land of Lu Cun was requisitioned for supporting regional infrastructure, which prompted a dramatic change in the village space. However,in this case, the material space products of different periods has still preserved in the village. From the perspective of cultural ecology, the entire Lu Cun space has become a complete era-replacement map.The transformation of the material space inside the village had also shaped the new village space order. In the traditional era,the Lu Cun society mainly relied on the clan regulation, morality and beliefs to maintain the ritual, forming a social network based on the geographical relationship and a mutually dependent differential social space through blood relationship. After the 1980s,the reproduction of power and capital had entered into the production process of the village space, thus individualism thoughts had gradually spread in the village, and the "amounts" of money had become the standard for evaluating the individual's social status and ability, and in the meantime the village space practice had become more and more adapted to the economic development plan.Under the influence of state power, capital and individualized thoughts, the village landscape and villagers' production and living order in the process of village urbanization had gradually adapted to the rules of urban space production order. This paper attempts to sum up the experience of suburban rural areas in the reconstruction of modern space from the perspective of humanism, and explores the space production plan in the sense of people's livelihood.
