As an important export group of national labor force and scientific and technological talents, college students' bone mineral density has become the focus of national and social attention. The purpose of this study is to explore the status of bone health, body composition and grip strength in college students with different majors, genders and ages.Differences in bone health, body composition and grip strength were analyzed by different levels of physical activity.Factors affecting bone health, body composition and grip strength were analyzed according to the correlation coefficient between two variables of bone mineral density index, body composition index and grip strength index of college students. It provides an effective basis for improving the bone mineral density of college students. The subjects of this study were 202 students from Sichuan Normal University(63 boys and 40 girls from the PE major group,45 boys and 54 girls from the non-physical education group.)Measurement, questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics are adopted.Measurement instruments(EXA-3000 dual-energy X-ray bone density measurement instrument,QingHuaTongFang body measurement instrument BCA-1A;HengKangJiaYe HK-6000 intelligent handgrip strength tester)are used for measurement.Physical activity level of college students was assessed by physical activity level scale, and SPSS 22.0 was used for statistics and analysis. The main conclusions of this study are drawn as follows:1)There are professional and gender differences in the bone mineral density, body composition and grip strength of college students, which shows that students majoring in sports are taller than those students majoring in non-sports,and male students are taller than female students. The bone mineral density varies in ages, which demonstrates that students over 20 years old are healthier than those under 20 years old.2)The body weight, skeletal muscle, lean weight, muscle mass, inorganic salt, protein, segmental muscle mass, basal metabolic rate and BMI index of physical education majors were higher than those of non-physical education majors. The body weight, skeletal muscle, lean weight, muscle mass, inorganic salt, protein, segmental musclecontent, basal metabolic rate and BMI index of male college students were higher than those of female college students, while the body fat content, body fat rate and segmental fat content of male college students were lower than those of female college students.3)The bone mineral density level of college students increases with the level of physical activity. When the level of physical activity reaches the moderate amount of exercise, the bone mineral density level will increase significantly. When the level of physical activity reaches the level of large amount of exercise, the index of lean body weight in the body composition can reach the highest value.4)Grip strength of college students increases with the improvement of physical activity level. For female college students who never exercise or basically rarely participate in sports, when the physical activity level reached the level of small amount of exercise, the handgrip strength significantly improved; For male college students who did not exercise, when the physical activity level reached the moderate level, the handgrip strength was significantly improved. The bone mineral density of the right forearm increased with the increase of the grip strength of the right hand.5)There is a positive correlation between lean body weight and bone mineral density indicators. That is Bone mineral density level promotes as lean body weight gains, and the muscle group of the right upper limb was positively correlated with BMD value, which will upgrade with the increase of the muscle group mass of the right upper limb.6)The bone density of right forearm of college students increased with the increase of right hand grip.
