The good development of regional economy is inseparable from the support of highquality talents.College graduates,as an important part of high-quality talents, have a significant impact on regional economic development in the cross-regional mobility of employment choices. At present,Shanxi Province is in a critical period of economic transformation and development. The introduction of talents and retention of talents play an important role in the economic transformation of Shanxi. This paper aims to analyze the influencing factors of college graduates' employment city selection, and propose corresponding suggestions to Shanxi Province based on the research results to help the economic transformation and development of Shanxi Province. This study takes the college graduates of Shanxi Province as the research object, and through the extensive review of relevant literature, the corresponding influencing factors evaluation indicators are formulated, and the information on the employment city and the factors influencing the city selection of this group is investigated.According to the collected survey data,we take the factor analysis method to analyze the influencing factors by principal component analysis method. The five principal components extracted by factor analysis are used as the independent variables of the regression model: urban environmental factors, urban living standards, urban development potential, policy factors and individual factors. This study uses city-level categories as the dependent variable to measure the choice of employment cities, including the first-tier cities, the second-tier cities or provincial capital cities, the third-and fourth-tier cities,or prefecturelevel cities, county towns or townships. In addition, this paper adds gender, household registration, education and age as control variables in the regression model to exclude its influence on the dependent variable. On the basis of principal component analysis, county towns or townships is used as the reference category for regression analysis, and SPSS21.0 is used for disordered multi-class logistic regression. The results of the study indicate that urban environmental factors, urban living standards, urban development potential and individual factors have a significant impact on graduates who choose to work in first-tier cities;urban environmental factors, urban living standards and individual factors have a significant impact on graduates who choose to work in second-tier or provincial capital cities. And the impact of urban living standards on graduates' choice of second-tier or provincial capital employment is greater than the impact on employment in selected first-tier cities;only individual factors have significant influences on graduates who choose to work in third-and fourth-tier cities or prefecturelevel cities. The influence of policy factors on the three types of dependent variables is not significant. In addition, this paper investigates the ideal employment units of college graduates and finds that 73% still expect to have work within the system. As for the result of insignificant policy factors, the author believes that it may be because the policy propaganda is small, college graduates have less understanding of the policy, and the poor implementation of the policy has led to graduates not paying attention to policy influence. Therefore, when the government formulates policies,it must collect opinions from multiple parties to ensure the scientific rationality of the policies;after the policies are promulgated, the government departments should supervise the implementation.According to the research conclusions of this paper,on the basis of qualitative and quantitative analysis, this study proposes corresponding countermeasures and suggestions from the government, enterprise and college,to face the introduction of talents in Shanxi Province,in order to provide a theoretical reference for the introduction of talents in Shanxi Province. The innovations of this research are as follows:(1)This paper explores the factor, urban development potential, that influence the college students' employment city choice;(2)Using the disordered multi-class logistic regression model to analyze the influence degree of various factors on the selection of different types of employment cities for college graduates;(3)Based on the needs of the transformation and development of Shanxi Province,we take the survey data of the factors influencing the Shanxi university graduates' employment city selection as research foundation of empirical analysis, which provided a new idea for the promotion of talent introduction to Shanxi Province.
