The Comparative Analysis Of Defensive Characteristics Between Two Chinese Men's Basketball Teams

In April 2017,facing the "no pressure period" of basketball events for more than two years,the Chinese Basketball Association announced the formation mode of the national team of the Chinese men's basketball team in the new competition cycle.The groundbreaking proposal that two national teams with the same guarantee,without one or two teams,would be formed simultaneously,and the "two national teams" also attracted widespread attention from the outside world.Yao Ming,chairman of the National Basketball Association,explained the formation model: "The Binational Team is not only to tap more young players,but also to train our coaches in China.Only good coaches can better tap the potential of the team.The Binational Team will make more domestic coaches go to the international arena."Since the implementation of the Binational Team,after a period of intensive training,the Chinese Red and Blue Team participated in the four-nation invitational tournament at Kunshan Station and Meihekou Station,as well as the Stankovic Cup.The Red Team won the game completely,and the Blue Team finished the game with excellent results.It is worth mentioning that in the match,the performance of China's two national teams in the defensive side,the Red Team lost 62.67 points per game in the Four National Games,the Blue Team lost 72.67 points per game,the Stankovic Cup,the Red Team lost 70.5 points per game,the Blue Team lost 75 points per game.Because they are the same opponents as the competition team,it is meaningful to make a comparative study.By studying the defensive performance of the Red and Blue Teams in the international competitions since the reform of the Chinese men's basketball system,this paper summarizes their defensive characteristics and compares them.The conclusions are as follows:(1)In the aspect of dribble defense,both Red and Blue teams showed strong defense to point guard in the match.Blue team pays more attention to the restriction and oppression of the point guard in the forward position attack.In terms of thedefensive intensity of the ball handlers,the close interference rate of the Blue Team to the ball handlers is higher than that of the Red Team.(2)China Red Team has the highest success rate of defensive passing in matches,and Blue Team shows stronger aggressiveness than Red Team in defensive passing and catching.The success rate of the Blue Team is better than that of the Red Team,mainly by pre-judging the active blockade of the human ball route.(3)The Red Team's cooperative defense in defensive breakthrough can better embody the overall and hierarchical sense of defensive end,from guard to forward and then to center,and obstruct the opponent's attack layer by layer.The Blue Team mainly uses follow-up defense,while using the pinch of the inside players to exert pressure on the defense.In terms of the number of co-defenders,although the proportion of three co-defenders is relatively small,the Red Team uses three co-defenders more prominently than other teams.(4)In defensive shooting,the Red and Blue teams have strong pressure on the opponents' shooting in the two zones,almost achieving "shooting must be defended".Among them,the Blue team has greater defensive pressure and higher intensity on the opponents in the two zones.In defensive 3-point shooting,the Red team has better defensive pressure than the Blue team.(5)In rebounding,the number of the Red Team participating in rebounding is higher than that of the Blue Team,showing a stronger rebounding awareness and desire to compete.(6)In the defense of the Red and Blue Teams,the defense against high cover to circumvent the response,and the defense against low cover to squeeze through the response.In the breakthrough points,the Red Team mainly takes the change of defense,while the Blue Team mainly takes the pinch restriction.(7)In the overall use of defensive tactics,the number and proportion of mixed defense and comprehensive defense are relatively low.The characteristics of the Blue Team are the expansion of man-to-man in the half-court attacking of the defensive position,which is used more times and has a high success rate.In the use of joint defence,the center position of the Red Team is high and flexible,with strongcomplementary defensive ability,and its defensive success rate is higher than that of the Blue Team.
