| A scientific and reasonable competition system is conducive to promoting the development of the project and providing a good platform for athletes to compete.The purpose of this study is to analyze the evolution of the ITTF competition system,summarize its evolution characteristics,and provide reference for athletes to participate in the Olympic Games.This paper uses the literature data method,expert interview method and mathematical statistics method to take the evolution characteristics of the ITTF competition system as the research object,from the competition level,the integral ranking rules,the competition geographical distribution and the time schedule,and analyzes the evolution and characteristics of the competition system in 2007-2018.The main conclusions are as follows:1.The rating evolution of the competition system is characterized by the increasing number and rating of series and the more distinct levels.The positioning of the competitions at all levels is clearer and the selection of athletes is more selective.In order to improve the efficiency of the competition,the first four rating are important competitions for athletes to increase their points.The first three levels are the core competitions for athletes to develop training plans.2.The reform of the integral ranking rules tends to be simplified in terms of calculation methods,which is more conducive to predicting the rankings of athletes and conducting targeted competitions.3.The reform of the integral ranking rules is to promote the dynamics of the rankings and encourage the active participation of athletes.The influence of the number of entries on the rankings is more significant after 2018,and the minimum number of elite athletes has increased to more than 8 stations.4.The geographical distribution of the World Tour gradually spread to more continents and countries.Platinum and the regular series tour venues were gradually fixed,and the intercontinental distribution was more evenly distributed.There are more “back-to-back” competitions in the main competitions.The comprehensive rankings increase the number of entries and put forward higher requirements for excellent athletes to cross-regional and continuous competition.The main recommendations of the study are as follows:1.Chinese table tennis team should avoid the decline in rankings caused by the insufficient number of entries.The World Championships,the T2 League and the top four in the competition will help to open the points gap.Based on the current ranking pattern,in order to avoid premature encounters with team members,you can participate in decentralized competitions to obtain better rankings and points.According to the current score setting,during the recovery of athletes' injuries,a small number of Challenges “+”series can be selected to improve the ranking.2.In the future,the number of entries per year will reach 8 or more.The annual competition time will increase and the competition will be more intense.Athletes should pay more attention to physical training and recovery and adjustment after the competition.Chinese athletes should strengthen their ability to “train in the competition”,especially young athletes,to adapt to the reform of the competition system and improve their control ability in high-intensity competitions.3.The increase in the number of international competitions for the National Table Tennis Team will inevitably reduce the domestic competition.In order to ensure the wonderful hosting of important domestic competitions and avoid athletes' fatigue,the important domestic competition time should try to avoid conflict with international competitions.The schedule and system of the Table Tennis Super League should be adjusted according to different preparation periods to ensure theinternational ranking of the national team athletes and the wonderful organization of the Table Tennis Super League. |
