With the continuous progress of basic education curriculum reform and the continuous integration of information technology and education,in order to adapt to the needs of new teaching concepts and learning methods,curriculum resources need to be constantly updated.With the establishment of the first year of 2016 as the virtual reality technology,the Ministry of Industry issued "VR white paper",clearly pointed out in the paper: "the new way of cultural communication through the formation of virtual reality,in film and television,entertainment and other cultural industries,teaching and training and education industry pulled the huge consumer demand." Virtual reality technology is no longer limited to the consumption of film and entertainment,but gradually extended to the field of teaching and training and education industry.Visual learning resources and interactive learning scenarios based on virtual reality technology can promote learners' situational learning,experiential learning,game based learning and deep learning,which can effectively enhance learning effectiveness.In view of this,this study combined with the current popular game development engine technology design and developed a teaching courseware based on Unity3D virtual reality technology.The article puts forward the principle of courseware design to the teaching content,the teaching goal to carry on the analysis,from the structure,the content to carry on the design to the courseware.Taking the fourth section of the first chapter of the seventh grade geography as the courseware content,the development of the geographical terrain courseware of Unity3D virtual reality technology is carried out,including the configuration of the development environment,the development of related terrain,the development of the interface development,and the realization of interactive functions;The key technologies used in the development process are discussed in detail.This paper expounds the application of the geography courseware based on Unity3D virtual reality technology in the classroom,and analyzes and studies its application effect through experimental method and questionnaire method,and concludes that the courseware affects the students 'learning to some extent.The courseware can stimulate students 'interest in learning,but for the seventh grade students who have just come into contact with the courseware,the cognitive load is relatively large;Students 'satisfaction with the courseware is relatively high,and think that the courseware is very helpful to learning.Based on Unity3D virtual reality technology,the geography terrain courseware combined with virtual reality technology has changed the traditional courseware's single characteristics,improved the interest of learners' learning process in education and teaching process,and enhanced learners' true feelings of knowledge content.On the other hand,the specific application research of geography terrain courseware based on Unity3D virtual reality technology will also provide some references for design developers of courseware development.
