For a country to become strong,it must first strengthen education,and for an education to become strong,it must first strengthen faculty.Rural pre-school education is more weak links and weaknesses in our country's current fundamental education.Constantly improving the Professional quality of pre-school teachers is the inevitable way to improve the quality of the pre-school education.Do On-the-job training of pre-school teachers is an important way to improve the professional quality of pre-school teachers.The decade's documents issued by our country on the pre-school explicitly require “Strengthen on-the-job training of pre-school teachers”.Especially “Some opinions of the State Council on the current Development of Preschool Education”(National Paper [2010] 41)has made a clear request that we should improve the training system for teachers in pre-school education and innovate a series of specific plans such as training models.The Three-year Action Plan for the Development of pre-school Education in Guangdong Province(2014--2016)has made a request to support the construction of township pre-school,including strengthening the fostering and training of core teachers to improve the overall qualities of the teachers.This paper has based on the theories,such as the theories of teacher's professional development stage,lifelong education theories,humanism demand theories,adult pedagogy theories,and applied the research methods such as questionnaire survey method,literature research method and interviewing method to have investigated the status of on-the-job training of the township pre-school in SG City in the years of 2014--2016.This paper which has been investigated the curriculum,training modes,cognitive attitude,participation path,satisfaction degree and the needs for Professional development,shows that on-the-job training of the township pre-school teachers in SG City has achieved certain results.Trained pre-school teachers have improved more in the teachers' code of morality and ideals,professional knowledge and competence,and so on.However,it has many problems,such as less chance and non-equilibrium for on-the-job training of the township pre-school teachers,imperfection of the allocation of training funds commitment,the un-reasonability of the instructors' participation structure,the lack of pertinence of the course training content,the outmode and monotony of the course training form,the lack of science of the course training schedule,the high-expectation and less-action of the contradiction for them.These problems are caused by the following factors according to the questionnaire survey,such as the un-reasonability of the preschool education policy and the training system,the insufficient funding from the government's investment on the teachers training,the alienation between the training course design and the preschool teachers' training needs,the uneven level of the training instructors,strong utilitarian of part preschool teachers' participation in training,lack of conscious behavior on preschool teachers' their professional development.Based on the analysis of the survey findings,the following suggestions for improvement are put forward in the paper: Strengthening the construction of pre-school teacher training system,speeding up the establishment of special training funds,emphasis on the selection and training of training lecturers,paying attention to the collection and analysis of kindergarten teachers' training needs to improve the pertinence of training content,innovating training forms and bringing into playing the subjectivity of pre-school teacher training to improve the teaching level of training,leading the trainees to establish the concept of lifelong learning and actively playing the role of demonstration radiation.
