As a component of mathematics teaching content,primary mathematics concept teaching plays an important role in primary mathematics teaching.Mathematics concept teaching has a specific purpose which aims at helping students to master mathematics concepts and form a basic and general understanding of mathematics.That is,to define the connotation and extension of the concept,to be familiar with its expression;to understand the relationship between concepts,to classify concepts and form a conceptual system;to understand the ins and outs of concepts and to apply concepts correctly.The concept of mathematical equation in primary school is also important which lays a foundation for the later learning of Properties of equations,solution equations and solving practical problems with equations.It serves as a connecting link between the preceding and the following.American scholar Dubinsky first proposed the APOS theory in his research,emphasizing the view that the subjective position of students should be valued during the learning process.At the same time,he suggested that students should strengthen their ability to explore knowledge actively which is consistent with the requirements of the new curriculum.In terms of specific research,four mathematics teachers who understand this theory in local primary schools were selected and each teacher taught two classes.Taking the concept teaching content of mathematical equation in primary schools as the carrier,the four teachers are demanded to carry out the concept teaching design of mathematical equation in primary schools under the guidance of APOS theory.After determining that there was no significant difference in the scores of the two classes,one class used the teaching design of APOS theory,while the other class did not,and the difference was compared through the after-class test.Finally,the differences between the teaching mode under the guidance of APOS theory and the traditional teaching mode are compared and analyzed.After a thorough research,it is known that teaching mode under the guidance of APOS theory have a significance in guiding the teaching of equation concept in primary schools which can be summarized as follows:First,it is beneficial to improve the efficiency of mathematics teaching in primary schools.Second,it can improve the level of non-cognitive factors of students.Third,it is beneficial to improve mathematics scores of pupils.It can be seen that the concept teaching of mathematics equations in primary schools under the guidance of APOS theory has many aspects ofenthusiasm in promoting the overall development of pupils.Combining with the conclusions of this paper,we put forward the following suggestions:First,the essence of APOS theory can be introduced into all aspects of primary school mathematics concept teaching.Second,students of normal school should master the APOS theory as much as possible which can lay a foundation for practical use in the future.Third,primary school mathematics teachers who are interested in APOS theory can learn it and teach pupils under the guidance of APOS theory,which is focus on the improving of the teaching quality of primary mathematics teachers.
