Research On The Management Of Alumni Resources In Higher Vocational Colleges

For colleges and universities,alumni are valuable resources which can provide spiritual,intellectual,human and material support to his alma mater.Nowadays,many colleges and universities attach great importance to the development and utilization of alumni resources.Some colleges and universities have promoted their own construction and development based on alumni resources.However,due to the differences in national conditions and the poor recognition of alumni resources among school leadership or other reasons alike,there are alumni associations in many colleges and universities which still remain at the level of formalism.Thus,alumni resources are not fully used to promote the development of the school.Therefore,this paper,taking Jiangxi Industrial Trade Career Technical College as an example,discusses the problems of alumni resources management in Higher Vocational colleges for the purpose of making suggestions for the development and utilization of alumni resources.In this paper,the investigation analysis and interview are applied to investigate the alumni resources management of G vocational college.The results of the survey of G vocational college are: G vocational college has a certain understanding of the alumni organization;alumni have no strong sense of belonging to their alma mater;there is no strong interaction between alumni and alma mater;there is lower degree of reciprocity between Alumni and Alma Mater's,and G vocational colleges can recognize the role of alumni resources.It is found that there are a lot of problems in the management of alumni resources in G vocational college,there are many examples like the following four aspects: College leaders do not attach importance to alumni resource management,the alumni resources management organization is not perfect,alumni information management system is not perfect and the way of developing alumni resources remains single.Based on these problems,the author analyzes its reasons and makes suggestions from four aspects: updating understanding of alumni resources management,perfecting the organization of alumni management and related departments,improving the alumni resources management platform and multiplying the ways of development and utilization of alumni resources.
