The Study Of Integrating Commemorative Activities Of Anti-Japanese War Into Ideological And Political Education Of College Students

As an important part of higher education,ideological and political education of college students relates to the development of their ideas and morals,abilities and intelligence,and mental and physical health.The party and the nation not only attach great importance on the ideological and political education of college students,but also on commemorative activities of Anti-Japanese War.The commemorative activities of Anti-Japanese War has the resources of ideological and political education,therefore It is necessary to explore the ways to integrate the memorial activities into the ideological and political education of college students,which can provide reference for a better plan of commemorative activities of Anti-Japanese War and ideological and political education of college students.This paper is divided into six parts.The first part mainly summarizes the background,significance,thought,current status,methodology,innovation and defect of the research.The second part elaborates the connotation,function and significance of the ideological and political education and the commemorative activities of Anti-Japanese War,as well as classifies the form of memorial activities into five types: meeting,cultural activities,ceremony,condolence and historical sites visit,which involve political,social and education function.Since the founding of the People's Republic of China,the ideological and political education of college students in China has gone through six stages,which affects the cultivation of world outlook,outlook on life and values of college students and relates to the developmental direction of higher education.The third part indicates the value of integrating commemorative activities of Anti-Japanese War into ideological and political education of college students,and finds that students' memory of Anti-Japanese War,spirit of Anti-Japanese War,and their ideal and faith can be shaped,cultivated and strengthened through the commemorative activities.The fourth part indicates the existing problems when integrating commemorative activities of Anti-Japanese War into the ideological and political education of college students,including the lack of social attention to the commemorative activities,disorganization of the commemorative activities in colleges and universities,and the low participation among students.The fifth part analyzes the reasons for above problems and finds out that no enough atmosphere of commemorating Anti-Japanese War in society,underperformance of universities and colleges when organizing commemorative activities of Anti-Japanese War,and low emotional connection with this historical event among college students are the main reasons.The last part discusses the strategies of integrating commemorative activities of Anti-Japanese War into the ideological and political education of college students.There are a variety of strategies to integrate commemorative activities of Anti-Japanese War into the ideological and political education.For instance,the policy support for commemorative activities of Anti-Japanese War should be provided by government.A good environment for the commemorative activities should be created by society.In addition,well-prepared activities and identity education should be provided by colleges and universities.Only by making concerted efforts can the commemorative activities of Anti-Japanese War be truly integrated into the ideological and political education of college students.
