| As a special social relationship,marriage is the foundational of family.Stable and high-quality marriage plays a decisive role in family harmony and social harmony.However,according to the data published by the Civil Affairs Bureau recently,in 2018,the number of marriages registered was 10.018 million,and the number of divorces registered was 3.801 million.The ratio of divorces in 2018 was 38%.According to the data,mostly,people get divorced when they get married for two to eight years,and the length of marriage is around three or four years.This phenomenon of high divorce rate at the specific marriage age deserves our attention,so how to improve the quality of marriage for those who married for2-8 years has high practical research value.In this study,the Olson marriage quality scale was used to investigate 204 married couples in Guangzhou who had been married for 2 to 8 years.Through the Data analysis,the existence of “seven-year itch” had been confirmed.Through the analysis of the three indicators: mode of approach to solve conflict,couple’s conversation and personality compatibility,which have relatively low scores in the scale,three key points affect the marriage quality to the couples who have been married for 2-8 years.First of all,the difference between couples bring barriers in understanding and acceptable.Secondly,low quality-conversation affect the quality of marriage.Lastly,the ineffectiveness of the mode of fixing conflict make them feel nervous and helpless.Above all,the author designed a SATIR growth group for 15 couples with low scores in those three indicators,and designed six activities for them: distinguish infatuation and true love,establish reasonable view of marriage;understanding the difference between man and woman,and establish reasonable expectation of each other;understanding the difference between families of origin andpromote comprehend each other;understanding the subconscious under the iceberg,and establish benignant couples’ communication;learning consistency communication,and developing a win-win mode of approach to solve conflict;and relationship repairing,love actions,continue to improve the quality of marriage.The six activities hold in form of lecture,role play,case study,interactive game,discussion and sharing and so on.In the process of the six activities,the author designed homework to encourage the group members to apply the skills in their actual marriage life,and to promote the formation of long-term and high-quality social support network among the group members.Finally,there was a significant difference between the pretests and post-tests of some factors of the effect of marital satisfaction,personality compatibility,couple’s conversation and mode of approach to solve conflict,which has a definite improvement.Conclusions as a result,the SATIR growth group has significance in the practical applications for improving the quality of marriage which is in 2 to 8 years. |
