Group Work On Children’s Growth Intervention

Children is a very critical and important period in the life of people, the healthy growth of children, for their personal and family significance, for the development of society is also very important. Children are gradually from the "biological person" to "social man growth", will be subject to cross a variety of factors. n today’s society is in transition period, all kinds of factors that affect the growth of children, from the influence of peer group, family, school and society, in the country’s political, economic and cultural influence, and traditional habits and other aspects of the impact and so on.. At the same time, children in the growth process will encounter new problems and challenges, how to make children can successfully achieve healthy growth, should cause our attention and concern.The research on social work with children although rich, advantages from the perspective of children’s social work research has also made some achievements, but these studies mainly aimed at was label or in the disadvantaged groups of children. This paper, from the perspective of group work, has a general significance in the development of the general children in urban communities. Based on the data collected and interviews with Z community residents, the children in the Z community were only children. There were some problems, such as the lack of interpersonal interaction, the weak ability of emotional control, and the monotonous life.The research to the theory of group dynamics and personality development as a guide and application of group work method to carry out the eagles hand workshop group activities, "every day" group activities, Z community 8-14 years old children to provide professional social work services. Through the working group on interventional procedures prediction, planning and implementation were recorded and analyzed, discusses the working group intervention strategies and skills of children’s growth, reach the goal of two teams. The study found that the group activities to let the team members learned the value of solidarity and friendship, enhance the ability to work and interact, in improving the emotional, active interpersonal and enhance the implementation of a better growth. By conducting a series of group activities, to explore the needs of individual members of the group by group, promote team members to solve through the interaction between group members, so as to promote its members’ healthy growth. Through the analysis and summary of practical activities, to provide experience and reference for the group work involved in the development of children, to promote the research and exploration of children’s growth services from the perspective of social work.
